Thank you so much for this - this video is the warm hug I needed so I can face my bank accounts again. I'm very deep in the guilt and avoidance phase. You talk about money with so much peace and morally neutral language that it reminds the reason to do all of this - to get the things and experiences i really do actually want to have in this life. It's to get the nice things that my habitual spending isn't giving me. Thank you again.

This is a much needed talk I want to hear at this stage of my life, my thought process relating to my finances, I'm debt free except for our mortgage and I'm kind of sad with some anxiety at times knowing that we're not hitting our mortgage balance goal this December, but I have to think that this is the reality, not all goals are meant to be achieved but the upside of this, we're better every single week than the previous week and that to me is a WIN thank you so much for this video Tasha, Love and blessings always ❤️🙏🏽 😘

I love your approach to finances - I remember your talk with Joseph about how he would typically want to save more and you are there to make sure you also get to enjoy life while spending... my husband and I have a similar dynamic and it's been sooooooo good for me to know that it's not A or B, that you can actually build wealth while still budgeting for pleasures. Thanks for the reminder!

Dang. How perfectly timed is this. My finances got borked because I, last minute, got called back into work. So I have to fork out for child care and for more in gas that I hadn't anticipated. And that just made me go off the rails. I spent to make my emotional side happy.

I Love this video! Thank you Scarlett!! Always reminding us to not beat ourselves up about past money behaviors. Take a breath, look at numbers and take small “easy” baby steps. I just set up auto investments for the first time- i paused the video to do it- so simple! Can’t wait for more videos.

What about disappointment because someone else's choice took advantage of you and you lost a whole lot of money...this has happened a couple times in the last 4 years and it has been very frear inducing and discouraging over the future. For instance we had a plan to save 16k over the last year and a friend got sick and my husband had to take unpaid time to help him. We lost 15k in income, the friend died and we also took care of final arrangements...with no access to the life insurance because there was no listed beneficiary and we arnt blood family when blood family took the $ and so far didn't help or show up for anything. Totally out of our control....

Why didn't you & your husband insist that the sick friend take out a life insurance policy naming you guys? Or at least make sure the friend listed you guys on the existing policy that he did have?
