Aged 53yrs old I have to admit that I would still love to get my hair back! As a youngster I had a very thick mop of brown curls but in my final (very stressfull) year at university aged 21 the thinning began apace. And within another couple of years I was properly bald. The way it rocked my confidence as a young man is something that has stuck with me to a degree, even as I have realised that one has to accept things and move on. So yes, I never underestimate the impact this can have.

@@iDTecKtBut the follicles are alive. I don't think any cure will be a normal pill you could take, though. More likely it would require some kind of genetic alterations that can make your existing follicles resistant to DHT. Not sure if it would work on someone who already has a significant degree of hair loss. Maybe the solution for people with lots of hair loss will be mass cloning of the existing DHT-resistant hairs around the sides with a big transplant, as you mentioned.

He gave me minoxidol spray & tablets plus Finasteride. After 8 months of doing this he asked me to come back. He said i now had thicker hair and he could do a transplant on my crown area and some of my front. My hair was thinning but not complete hair loss. What keeps me personally from having a procedure is that I know I'd have to be on constant medical therapy afterwards. @SoulMaxxing5 ай бұрын
This is simply a soul blockage you can/need to clear, my friend. You have a whisper in your head which is the product of human-wrought collective beliefs .. and not your God-potential. - You are going to spend a minimum 1 hour per day having 2-3 meals rest of your life without hesitation (and we don't even need 3 meals per day.. that's another indoctrination by the food industry, btw).. yet you will not spend 10 seconds taking a finasteride/minox combo bill or even a 1 minute per week taking a TRT (testosterone) shot., if a guy older than 40. Obviously, I am not challenging your free-will. You can do whatever you choose. This message could go out to all aging men with thinning or receding hair and also gradual muscle loss and fat gain from slowly diminishing testosterone who listen to the limiting whisper in their head.. despite the fact your appearance is going to go through a dramatic (negative) transformation anyways over time if you do nothing.. so why not be proactive, utilize what the universe has made available to you.. and make it positive instead?? Now that said, if we get procedures to run from other emotional issues in our half-soul, that is a different issue - so it is true our physical appearance should not be our life focus.. but we are literally talking about the most minimal effort here. As a real teacher of the universe on Earth (which is not a sentence 99.99% of incarnates can even process).. I will tell you that your material-body is NOT a true reflection of your half-soul condition... only your spirit-body is, so it is understandable if you want to get your physical-body more aligned with your true spiritual development state.. if it is superior to the default material-body you were assigned to start your existence. NOTE: You can view your spirit-body in any astral mirror while in sleep state. It updates virtually in REAL-TIME from your half-soul condition while your physical body updates in 7 years.. so we all kill our Earth vessel before we get enough LOVE & TRUTH into our soul to stop expedited material-body degradation. We should live 1000 years on Earth. I am about to turn 56. I have a top 1% low hairline. thanks to recent HUE. ( please note I was a Norwood 2 so it wasn't a stretch doing this).. and top 1% male test level (1000-1100ng/dl) thanks to TRT. I never have accidents nor get sick EVER. I never take vaccines nor got Covid while working in a public interfacing position. Because I work out 7 days per week (4 cardio and 3 free weights) and eat very strict.. I am completely ripped.. with developing full hair when I am supposed to be "old".. which is a total joke. DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF, my friend.. is my point. All of you can be equal or greater than me once you stop listening to the Earth limiting whispers in your head. My own "lookmaxxing" project will be done by Jan 2025 at which point I will likely start teaching the actual absolute universe online through YT. I don't do recreational drugs nor drink alcohol.. and interact with spirits in waking and sleep state to advance myself in consciousness and aligned perception of love. While I never was into human imaginary creations, we do basically live in a matrix.. meaning most the things you feel inside as INTUITION or common_sense REASONING are really just limiting_products of false_beliefs ABSORBED as feelings during womb, early childhood, and continuing inculcation into whatever collective_thought_realm which dominates your focus. I am a real person whom you can talk to anytime for free. Peace and God Bless.

Nowadays, you can get really impressive coverage when you combine scalp + BEARD (or even chest) grafts. Of course, your beard hair needs to be a good MATCH. Also, it really depends on the donor - some patients have a great donor (and can also use the extended donor area). There are videos of doctors doing over 10 000 gratfs… Some patients have a very weak donor… then even 6-7000 grafts is a stretch 😅 HT is a case-specific procedure…

I just have had my hair and beard transplant one week ago. After the transplant i issued a correction of assymetry and it will be done in half of month from now. I am concerned about a movie I recently watched "Beard Transplant Failures! 3 Tips to Avoid it!" All grafys were taken from the back and the side of the scalp. None were taken from neck or chest. After watching that youtube video I am concerned that the beard with double and triple hair follicles might cause bumpyness of skin and unnatural look. I do not know yet how it will look and whether it is true what was mentioned in that video. But if it would be true, then during the scheduled correction I would request to take the hair transplanted to the beard as grafts (at least the double and triple hair follicles) to be re-used in correction of the symmetry on the head part of the transplant. I have a question for you: How much truth is in that video? Can hair transplanted to the beard be reused again as a source? If yes, then should I hurry, or opposite: should I wait till hair falls out and regrows before it can be re-harvested? (that way I would avoid overdepletion of the donor area and avoid the problems mentioned in the quoted video, plus that would leave space to put in the beard the chest and neck-beard hair instead). A reaction video or a response to my comment would be greatly appreciated, as only 2 weeks remain now till the symmetry correction. Thank you for your videos. You are doing a great job and increasing awareness.

Would love to see you review Brazilian Dr. Pitella’s work. Arguably the best hair transplant surgeon in the world for high Norwood patients. He’ll do two back to back giga sessions with 10K+ grafts and his results are out of this world. Like if you’d like to see a reaction too!

I'm not sure this will be the channel to ever cover this since you specialize in a specific surgery/technique/technically, but I'm eager to hear when we're able to actually grow and replace or reactivate hair follicles vs grafting them from one spot to another.

I just don’t care about hair loss. If it’s natural that it happens then so be it. We’re all going to lose some hair at a time in life it’s not a big deal. People are too self conscious. Health is most important. That’s what we should be more focused on.

Do finasteride have effect on female hair loss? I‘m suffering from male pattern hair loss for about half of my life. I tried oral spironolactone, Cyproterone acetate+ Cyproterone compound for a long time until I faced Uterine fibroids. Now my Endocrinologist prescribed finasteride 5 mg.

Im just gonna ask this here. What happens if i use Minoxidil and Fenasteride and i have good results then i quit Minoxidil because it is a bother. Will Fenasteride kinda preserve the hair gained by Minoxidil or what will happen?

I did this. I lost hair, but Fin was enough. Then I stopped fin, and boy did my hair take a dive. I got on HIMS chewables bc it has fin and min. But it was pricey. Now I’m getting a HT and will likely go back to it tho bc two birds one stone. However prescription fin is about 3X cheaper

Hi Dr Gary, I'm a big fan and dig your channel. If a person uses minoxidil for a number of years then stops will the persons hairloss catch up to a point where it would have been if they had not used minoxidil. Basically if they stop the medication will their hair fall out to a point where it should have been without this medication or will it return to the same point as it was when they initially began the treatment?

What about shaping the hairline from the neck by taking all of the hair for grafts from back of the upper neck instead of just taking hair evenly from the donor area? Often that area gets trimmed at the barber anyway. And can hair taken from somewhere else from the body transform to the kind of hair that grows in the head or does it stay coarse and short? Also is it ppssible to get hair grafts from some one else or does body reject them like organ transplants?

So how many sessions are needed for a level 6 balding? A clinic offered me to cover my entire bald area (front, middle and back) in one session using approx. 4500 grafts of which they would distribute more to the front and less to the back. Is that going to look ok? Is it the right way?

@drgarylinkov what about for women? I’m a 34yr old F with vasculitis and newly diagnosed adrenal insufficiency (just started hydrocortisone replacement) and my once thick hair is seriously thinning. I’m doing topical 5% minoxidil and 2.5mg oral minoxidil. Also taking iron. Do you do transplants for women like me? Is having long hair ok? Do you have any other recommendations? I’m so depressed and hate being out in public. Thank you! Long time fan ❤
@reykennedy57168 ай бұрын
There's that spira... Something.. Women can take also for thinning hair. I dunno what hormone effect it can have, men shouldn't take it though. You could also try serum and shampoos with saw palmetto as it has a mild DHT blocking effect. You can get no shave transplants, but it's only for a smaller amount of grafts and will cost more. If your hair is thinned overall, it's not what you'd be looking for anyways. You need to try everything you can to thicken your follicles as you most likely don't have bald spots, but thinned hair.

I was a fully bald in August of 2023. I had a full head of hair in 2020, by the end of 2020, I was fully bald. No idea how it happend so quickly (I was slowly thinning, but nothing to crazy). I stayed bald until August 2023 when my head shaver broke (I should mention im a medical student and started med school in 2021, took about 6 months off when my son was born and returned in 2022). It is now end of march 2024 (7 months since being fully bald), I can can firlmy say that derma rolling and medical managment (minoxidil, finasteride, biotin) helped me in getting my hair back. But what helped even more, and when I started to see way more results was once I started sleeping more, eating cleaner, not skipping meals, putting on sun screen, covering my head from heavy sun when reasonably possible. I have a really loving family and I will say this helps. And my wife is an angel, who has supported me in every way (bald, broke, with hair, busy, sleepless and all the other things associated with being a med student dad). So really guys, Dr. Gary knows what he is saying, follow his advice.
