thanks for the feedback I am going to Catalina Mexico on June 24-june 28 and the issue is my passport expire on aug 12 and I was given all the wrong information saying the six month rule doesn't apply to Mexico. then later the carnival first said yes I am fine now they saying I am not fine so I am going to try to go get this passport today.

I’m sitting here waiting for my passport. My appointment was at 11am. Took 10 min to submit my paperwork and pay. Pick up is at 3, so I’ll be waiting from 11:15-3:00. With that said. Bring a phone charger, earphones, down load movie, a good play list and bring a book. The earlier ur appointment the longer ur wait. Good luck everyone!

For a same day renewal do you need to bring another photo or passport form? If you already did that?

When setting the appointment thru the phone, they will ask about your situation and send you a list of what you need to bring via email. You may or may not need it depending on how you answer the questions. It's different for everyone.

Not sure what is exactly same day service? Is it an acceptance agency? Because all they do is submit your paperwork to the department of state. How does the department of state make your passport in one day?

Don't go with just any agency. Do it at the actual passport agency. In the description, there is the website to where you can do it on the same day. They process your papers right there and will not send it off anywhere else.

Call them and tell them your situation. Your requirements of what to bring, and what to prepare for same day service will be different, but they should be able to accommodate it.

Thanks Alice for the video. I have an appointment with the SF Passport center this Friday morning. I leave on 10/1 for a trip to Greece, my question is do you know if it is guaranteed that I will get my passport before the day of departure with an appointment? I would prefer to get it same day, but even a day or two before I leave is okay with me. I haven't bought my airplane ticket, but I need to buy it to show as proof. I would be taking quite the gamble and lose all that money if they somehow can't guarantee my passport in time. I know nothing is guaranteed, and also just wanted to let you know that with whatever info you give me, you won't be responsible for the outcome. But would appreciate your help!

Make sure you bring all the stuff they tell you to on your email (the list is a little different for everyone) to speed up the process. If you have an appointment and bring everything you need to bring to them, I would say it's a guarantee to get it before you fly out.

Can you cancel your trip or put it on hold when you got issued a new passport? or does State Department Passport Agency require you have to travel as booking schedule?

You can cancel and/or put your trip on hold your after you get your passport. Do buy insurance for your trip though in case free cancelation is not available. Once your passport is issued, they do not check on you to make sure you go on that trip.

If your cruise is international, you can call to see if there are appointments. However, if your cruise starts in USA and ends back in USA, your birth certificate will do. No need for passport. A passport will only be needed if your ending location is not back in USA.

My appointment was at 10:30am. I was done with appointment at 12pm, and got a ticket to come back to pick up my passport at 3:30pm. They were behind, so I got it at 4:30ish. (Office close at 4 pm, tho. If you are not already inside by 4 pm, you can't even pick up on that same day.) Depending on what your appointment is, maybe you can schedule it during your passport waiting period.

Hey Eduardo, I just double checked for you. Hope it's not too late to get back to you. A home address won't work for verification. If you are stay at an airbnb, you may use that as a verification. Another thing you can use is your international car insurance that you bought for your travel since not all insurance covers internationally. Hope this helps.

Just when I was about to take a taxi to the airport I found out that my passport was already expired a few months ago(03/may/22) So since we didn’t know about this service we asked the flight services for refund which is still pending btw and also the hotel reservations we canceled. My wife paid for hers expedited 6 weeks ago. Our trip is exactly 14 days from now and yeah we have to drive to Seattle to get hers done. Isaac, I just called the agency to give you the info you needed. If you are traveling by car, you may provide airbnb confirmation and/or international car insurance information because not all car insurance covers internationally.

very helpful. thank you. sad part for my husband is, the agency handling his passport is atlanta. we are from las vegas. we are flying out of the country in 5 days. we called to follow up and was told we cant make an appointment til day 1 of day 14 of our flight. and when we did call on day 1, was told to expect within 5 business days but since day 1 is friday, day 2 & 3 was weekend. and now its friday again which is day 8 no passport still. we called again and now they gave my husband an appointment, IN TEXAS, ON THE DAY OF OUR FLIGHT TO PHILIPPINES. now we need to book a flight to texas from las vegas that costs $500 plus tax. didnt help at all. :(

Hi! You can def try but they get booked really fast! I booked one today as well and got the last spot to the nearest once near me and I leave July 9th. You should always call in the morning and keep trying to call. I was trying for about 30 mins until the call suddenly went fully though. You might have to travel to a different agency if they have a spot, but it’s worth it. The hardest part is getting the appointment but once you do, MAKE SURE you get the email confirmation, don’t hang up the phone unless you see it in your email.

There are third party agencies that you can look up and pay a few more hundred to get your passport expedite. Other than that just keep calling and hop there is an available appointment.
