Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "train your dog to" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Diyadison Genia Equalizer - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got great success with it.

I love that you use a shelter dog! First because its much more realistic to see actual training when the dog doesnt know many tricks, and even more so because its not your personal dog with that relationship. And second because that dog gets to get out and play and learn, and will be maybe more likely to be adopted.

Man, I gotta say I love how you always treat the dog you are working with as if he/she was your own. I mean the excitement, happiness ad love always shine through on your videos. I also love how you work with shelter dogs and you don't seem to mind what type of breed. You are one awesome trainer, it would be awesome to meet you and get advice on my girl, would you ever do something on digging and stealing things and destroying them? Because Dusty just thinks everything is hers from plastic bags to pot lids (I don't know how she got it either?!!) Thank though for helping with everything else :) I put most of it to Dusty and she is an all round good girl (mostly of the time)

Zak, I have to say you've changed my approach to dog training drastically. I was lucky enough to stumble across your videos when I adopted my puppy. I was working under people who believed in e-collar and punishment based training. I very quickly changed my mentality and have even switched from Studio Art major to Animal Sciences. I want to make a living training dogs full time. I am a bit ashamed that I ever used such outdated, harsh methods, but I am very grateful that I was educated when I was. My dog has benefitted so much! Thank you!

Yesh! Finally a good positive understanding trainer. He actually teaches dogs what to do and not just what not to do. Like you can get the treat if you do right. And not just pull his leash saying you can not get that, I stop you. He's not between the thing the dog wants and the dog. He's the tool the dog is gonna get the treat with. So the dog doesn't try to get the thing when he's not around stopping them.

What a brilliant dog! I just signed up for PetFlow auto ship last night! We usually spoil our dog and feed raw, but my husband and I are trying to save more money so we can adopt another dog in a year or two. Plus, kibble is easier to store and train with. After a lot of research, I decided to go with Fromm, but they don't sell it anywhere in Cambridge, MA. I'd have to drive at least 30 minutes to a suburb to get it from a retailer. Having it shipped is so much easier! Hope my dog likes it although I'm sure he'll LOVE it since he loves all food.

I did this fast-paced method thing you're doing here; it's only thirty minutes in, and she's leaving everything I tell her to, going to her bed when instructed, and looking at me whenever I tell her to. Dang..... And this dog chews shoes, destroyed mats, and takes trash out of the garbage. This is insane.... Because I feel like I've tried everything, and now she's suddenly listening to me! What a beautiful and sweet boy Jacob is!!! The only thing bigger than Pitbull’s heads 🐶 are their hearts 💗. It’s so funny this video came up when I was searching for some training tips for my Pit who is his doppelgänger! 🐾

Thanks for this, my girlfriend and I just adopted an 11 month old boxer great dane mix named Bruce. He's pretty amazing and very smart, but untrained. I tried some of your tips about eye contact and hand signals yesterday and its working great (most of the time). Its very rewarding for all of us. I cant wait to go home later and try this out. I hope he does as well as the pup in this video. Until then, I'm going to devour your videos and do my best to keep things fun trying to get the basics down, until our scheduled training class begins in the new year. Thanks again from Toronto!

Perfect video for the dog my gf just got. He's not very energetic but very food driven, so this will be a good daily exercise.
