The new game plus update for God of War Ragnarok added a few armor sets including the Zeus armor and just like the previous God of War game, the Zeus armor is possibly the best armor in Ragnarok.
How to get Zeus armor: Beat Gna in Muspelheim who drops the Cuirass of Zeus, and find the belt of zeus and gauntlets at the specific Remnants of Asgard locations shown. Now you have the best armor in GOW Ragnarok.

So it is pointless to get the best armor/weapons at the end of the game, even with NG+ modes offered. Getting them 3/4 of the way through or before the final fights in the game would make more sense. To make those fights less of a grind for first timers.

It's incentive for new game plus play for me. I didn't get good armor till the end. Then started new game plus. Now I'll use this one to get the best combo I can then I'll play gmgow. I think it keeps the grind going a bit. Atleast for me anyway

From a design decision, it incentives the player to play with other armor to beat higher difficulty enemies, that way they don’t depend on having the BEST armor in the game to do so already. If they gave you the Zeus armor at the end of the main story, a majority of players are going to use it and not really play around with the many builds you can have with other armor.

I think the best possible combo is the berserker chest piece, combined with the Zeus Gauntlets and Belt. This prevents us taking too much damage, but Kratos also does a shit ton of damage.

I've gotten great results in NG+ by stacking up my stats as much as possible, then adding a bunch of the new enchantments that grant chest piece bonuses. Surtrs Engraving is pretty helpful, and getting health and rage bursts on every grapple kill is nice. Wish they had one for Sols bonus for extra damage based on rage...

Zeus set needs to be paired with good runic attacks to be op as the runic stat is pretty high with all the armor pieces equipped

You don’t have to do the sand quest to get the other piece btw. That area is available before doing so still.

timesaver: the Remnants of Asgard in alfheim does not need secret of the sands to be completed, so you can get the piece of Zeus armor without needing the secret of the sand to be finished.

@@salvinadevi9971 in short, berserker armor would be better for lower difficulties but if you're going for a ng+ give me no mercy/give me god of war then zeus is the better one. on those harder difficulties you'll get oneshotted anyway and you're much more rewarded with dodging every hit to where zeus armor would pretty much one shot the enemies back. berserker armor takes less skill as you can tank more hits and still dish out damage but you'd get oneshotted anyway on the harder difficulties.

it's the last upgrade you can get on the blades skill tree, where after every attack when you're holding the blade including shield bash, you can just press triangle once to instantly get the max dmg of the whiplash

I recommend loading up your old save then saving it, I found that fixed a few problems of mine like how the blades of chaos minor and major runes were not what I had selected

RN I am using Berserker Chest armour with radiance gauntlet & vidar's belt overall strength 652 defence is also above 525 I am thinking to add Zeus gauntlet so that it will increase the damage however I love the realm shift in the last minute evade gives the time to counter or Activate the whip slash
