Why is it important we address sin when presenting the gospel? Because people need to know what stands in the way of their relationship with God… but how we communicate really matters. In this episode, Jackie and Preston take a look at 2 Timothy 2, which discusses character traits necessary when addressing sin. We can’t do it in our flesh. It requires dependence on the Holy Spirit. If you missed Part 1 of this gospel conversation, check it out here: • How to Give the Gospel...

Something I find so beautiful is the way you know they’re in a healthy relationship because when a woman feels comfortable to express her intellect like Jackie does I can’t help but acknowledge and marvel at the way Preston cherishes and cultivates her entire being. that’s an example of the way God loving us.

As you get closer to God, you stop calling people out, and start calling people up. It’s just depending on the Holy Spirit. Sometimes you say something, sometimes you pray for them without them ever knowing. Just let the Holy Spirit lead and guide 🤙🏾

It’s funny , I was battling with myself all night last in tears because I was so overwhelmed with guilt because I felt like I was not sharing the Gospel the way I thought God wanted me to. But I’m realizing now this video was for me. I felt bad about having anxiety about talking to strangers or just randomly going up to strangers because it did not feel like me but it’s good to know others feel the same. However, I share the gospel in conversation settings beautifully (by the grace of God) or in personal settings. I can be better and I just want to be obedient to God and this video was so helpful you really don’t know ☺️🤍 God Bless Y’all ! ✝️

Jackie’s comment on meditation being a door at 4:14 reminded me of Matthew 12:43-45. What I’ve always taken from this verse is that it’s not enough to just try and clear our minds or get rid of evil spirits. We have to fill that space we’ve emptied with God and the things he would meditate on. Otherwise we leave room for not only that evil spirit to come back, but for him to bring 7 more spirits with him.

I can’t remember where I heard it but someone was talking about fasting correctly and they mentioned when you fast without prayer you’re leaving yourself with as an empty vessel available for any spirit to fill the void. Prayer fills that void with the Holy Spirit. I feel like the same would apply with meditation but I definitely wanna hear their take on that.

So real with the praying before calling out. I've prayed for non believers struggling with sins they were unable to overcome their whole lives, just for them to come back months later and talk about how they're growing out of that sin. Prayer is powerful. God does not need us to do a thing; He needs us to pray (love) one another

Listening to the podcast today and had to come on here to share because y'all are in my bedroom, listening in on pillow talk! I was telling my husband I wish my temperament was calmer and more diplomatic like his but I default to either saying nothing or pulling people up and being harsh. There's a gentle side for sure, but when there's contention or backbiting in a group, I'm usually like nah, speak up!! I felt bad about it. And he told me there's room for every temperament in God because there's a season for it all. There's a moment for gentleness and there's a moment for rah rah rah. Made me feel better and reminded me to lean to God to bridle my tongue when need be and to open my mouth when need be. 'Preciate y'all for this!

Lives that are yielded to Christ become more and more loving. Initially, a believer might be quick to call down judgment on others, but over time, the transforming influence of Jesus softens a heart and fills it with gentleness and kindness.

Thank you for this podcast. You bless so many and I’m sure God blesses you in return. My youngest daughter turned me on to Jackie almost 4 yrs ago and I tell you just from listening to your msg’s and podcast I’ve become softer in my approach in sharing the gospel. Sometimes we can see Jesus in the way that would benefit others but we have to love them to Christ. What I mean by that, be kind in our deliverance of the gospel and not push too hard when we see ppl aren’t ready. I too was one of those when I was younger that loved the Lord but couldn’t get my act together until calamity hit. I’ve learned we all come to Christ when it’s our time and praying for ppl who aren’t ready is better than trying to shove it down their throats. We have to keep in mind we were once one of them and that should allow us to give grace. God is good and merciful and we as His children should try and mimic Him. May God continue to use you both for the furtherance of His Kingdom.

When I tell you- I needed to hear this today! I was just asking God “how can I be used in this new environment (went from self-employment to full-time employment). I would feel so guilty because I wasn’t the “good Christian,” so to hear that- that is okay and God can/will still use me, is confirmation for me. Thank You Lord for ALWAYS listening!

Being intimate with the Lord is what reveals who he made us to be, most people are influenced by other people's gifts because they spend more time looking into what other people are doing and less or no time with the Lord. Look up, follow Christ and he will order you to your purpose.

This was so insightful especially the last minutes. I'm seeing that discipling as we do life also exposes us more to the people we reach because we can hide aspects of our lives (especially the ones where we keep stumbling) from social media or crowds, large or small, but the type of discipleship where you are in close proximity to the one you disciple or are discipled by will bring to light more than we would want to show even unconsciously and that's actually where spiritual growth and maturity happens.

I relate with how when it comes to evangelism in the way Preston does it, I just have so much anxiety that I feel like I'm not really living out God's mission after I do it. But when it comes to Bible studies, writing, illustrating stories, I don't feel any fear doing it at all!!! I would love to be able to reach people with the gospel the way Preston does, I really do...but if the Lord can use what He has already gifted me with, then Praise God.

Lately He’s been showing me that i could love my weaknesses and strengths cuz i tend to hate my weaknesses and beat myself up and strive to overcome and not be but it comes more from a condemning place. Trying to find the balance and understanding of things and myself cuz i know naturally i’ve always been more quiet and reserved but i can also be super loud goofy and crazy lol
