I am blown away by how God uses you guys so naturally. Always pointing to the word of God without, as you guys stated, compromising the integrity of God's word. Not leaning too close to the culture, but allowing the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct people to where they can see why they need salvation. I am praying that the Lord continue to use your ministry for His glory as you grow and mature in Christ. I would be remiss if I did not ask if you guys would pray and ask God about doing a series on sharing the gospel 🙏🏾. Thank you ❤

Jackie encouraged her husband to finish his degree. She did it with such gentleness then said we should pray about it. So important to acknowledge God in all our ways and allow Him to direct our path. Thank you woman of God.❤❤

In "my" opinion I didn't see encouragement, I saw emasculation.🤷🏽‍♀️ I "personally" feel like she SHOULDN'T have put him on blast that he DIDN'T have his degree in front of the World. She KNEW he didn't graduate, but decided to ask that question anyway. Preston was trying to make himself feel good because Jackie was giving her impressive portfolio of her educational accomplishments. Men often NEED to bolster themselves among women like Jackie...especially when they speak about their success. I could tell he really didn't like what she said because I understand how masculine energy works...he played it cool in front of the cameras but I KNOW he didn't like her comment when she asked him "if" he finished.

Listening in tears to Preston speak of modeling Christs LOVE; not just wisdom; this is the concept that separates modeling living in the LAW from living in GRACE🙌🏽. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. To hear, love and acknowledge hurt is not to excuse sin; it is what our Lord does with us and through us while leading us to healing and truth in His word by His Spirit. Love you both and am grateful that you shared this session ❤️

Bless all those who watch their podcasts. Bless those who don’t. Unfortunately these days, it seems to be a challenge finding someone to disciple you. But this is why small groups can be amazing. It's an opportunity to live life with people and you can all disciple each other and figure out things together. From there, we can live our lives out loud in front of the world and hopefully effectively witness with and without words. In these days, community is essential.

This is so 🔥 We have to approach every situation differently. We are complex beings. People have been through different traumas..experiences. Evangelism is not a 1 size fits all method. Everything is relational, and people can sense when a person is being genuine or if they are being scripted. I use to be in circles where people would have people repeat the sinners prayer and then go on Social media and share "how many people accepted Jesus." Speak on it Jackie. We should never have to be worldy to win someone over to Christ.

I’m so glad I go to a doctrinally sound, Bible based, expository preaching church. The gospel and life in Christ is the first thing they ensure you learn when becoming a member. I’m 10 min in and yall are taking such a round about way to say what the gospel is. And to be quite honest haven’t really stated what the gospel is according to scripture. Like verse for verse literal where does it say this is the gospel….for those who may not have an hour to learn what does the Bible say the gospel is, refer to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Literally verse for verse tells you what the gospel is. It may not explain its implications but that’s for those who want deeper understanding. For those who want an immediate answer according to what the Bible states there it is. If we tell non believers “here is the gospel” and then take an hour to explain no one is going to stay and listen.

How you live your life and interact with people on a daily basis is a big way that we share the gospel. People should see a difference in you. Not so much as what you say and profess but what you display. God said if you love me keep my commandments. So if we say we love him our actions should represent that. Just like if we profess to be followers of Christ then our actions must line up with His character. Does your life show change? Glory 🙌🏼

All ministry begins and is sustained by the Holy Spirit, everything else is a tool; knowledge, gifting, experience. To try to minister outside that order is to rely on your self, and that is in fact, sin. I love that you really unpack the necessity of God in all things, versus strategies. I'm afraid we forget the simplicity of call. Thank you for reminding His bride. The call is to love.

This was so good as I struggled with thinking I didn't have enough information because I didn't have bible schooling or was taught how to speak publicly. God also took me through an in and out of the church quickly and hasn't instructed me to go back yet, so I thought I'm wasn't churchy enough. Now, I realize I actually do have more than I thought as he has told me that he would be with me and to just speak as my starting point. Thanks for this, and I'm looking forward to part 2 🙏🏽💜

1:00:25 So good! Yesterday a friend of mine shared how his Nigerian father made the decision to move away from the animism that still pervades lots of Nigerian Christianity, and how to thresh the highly localized belief systems for what is true about the part of the world they exist in from the idol worship, or how he put it “worshiping the fruit, not the creator.” This makes me think of 2 Kings 17, one of the exiled Israelite priests brought back to Samaria to teach the people brought in to replace exiled Israel the worship of the Lord after previous settlement attempts were thwarted by lions sent by God, showing that what ancient people worshiped is tied to survival in a place. Christianity is the first true non-ethnic religion, something to define yourself by outside of under what circumstances you’re born into, so the goal was never Christian culture, but a correct orientation towards the Creator while being in creation.

Yes PLEASE do a part 2. We need it because we need to know how to address this culture and the world as a whole. We know that every person alive will not become saved but there are so many that will and need the Love of Christ. So many are hurting that belong to Jesus Christ and we must learn how to guide them to the only one that can help them. Our temporary assistance will not fix their woes only Jesus can do it for them. Thank you for this msg and I forwarded it to many that I know who need help in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

One of the things I admire about the Perrys is how they live their married lives before us even as they do these podcasts. Preston raising the issue of going to seminary school and not finishing and Jackie, not ignoring it, but encouraging him to finish blessed my soul! All this was done without skipping a beat. I am not saying that married life is easy but as Preston shared earlier - come and see how I live and Preston and Jackie with the help of the Lord shows this in such precious and loving ways.

In education I was trained to know the right answer and not focus on the learning process. With regards to math It took learning to go back and relearn how to THINK about math as an adult. Now the process of learning math is enjoyable. With learning to know God, prayer is a way for me to process. I beg God to lead me in His thoughts for that day and to make up for what I lack in the things I need to get done each day. Learning to be dependent through prayer on His way. He led me to this heart posture through limiting my physical resources where I could see Him actually providing for my needs. In order for me KNOW God I needed to let Him lead me in the relationship rather than THINK I knew HIM without experiences HIM. Is this KNOWING of God what Jesus is referring to when in the end there are those who he calls lawless ones and that he NEVER KNEW them. I want to THINK the way God does/ my mind be renewed, I want to be KNOWN by God, he KNOWS all about me, but there's this something else about being KNOWN by Him that I want to know how to participate in. I don't want Him to say Depart, lawless one, I never KNEW you.

Reading, praying and meditating on God’s word is the process of how transformation takes place. It’s like other biological or chemical processes that occur in the body before one product is converted to another. Most of these take place at the cellular or molecular level which are spiritual in nature.

It is everything and more. This just to cement what I had realized that it is important to study the Word to show yourself approved but ultimately it is the Holy Spirit that leads and does the conviction. I'm sorry but this has to be one of, if not the best, episode you have done yet. It's loaded with so much meat and broken down to lame man's terms. I literally had to pause and rewind so many times just to write it down. Literally eye opening. Continue to teach, continue to operate in the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of Heaven is backing you. So much revelation wow

I am so thankful to God for this podcast because I tend to be surrounded by people who are, or at least present themselves as, Christians, so we're more or less discussing the Gospel with each other and talking about deeper aspects of it, so I have less exposure to sharing the Gospel with people who know little to nothing about it. This edified me so much, and I love this Godly couple so much Side note = this is how you know Jackie is a writer: she provided like 30 ‘complex’ synonyms for the word “bad” at the drop of a hat 😂

Gr8 WORD because completely relying on "Knowledge gets us Puffed Up but Love builds up." A lot of inequities & extremes open up voided portals in our communication leaving things unsaid or verbally not saying scripture within correct context can cause people to form their own interpretation. This in itself further highlights the depths of the urgent necessity of our desperation to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The LORD doesn't give us expectations without enabling us with the continuous ongoing aid of the Holy Spirit. 🤔

Just as death entered the world by one man, and all became sinful; by one Man Jesus, we can be made the righteousness of God. We were once all in Adam, so he being our first father, we inherited his nature. But when we die to Adam and are born again in Jesus, we now inherit the nature of God. We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Sin, therefore, no longer has dominion over us!💥🙌

34:41 As my pastor would say “use your words before preaching The word . “ His son also says “Your lifestyle sometimes is the only Bible someone will ever read.”

I like the how you presented the Gospel as a story from Genesis 3 to the Temptation in the wilderness to the Cross. In that sense, the girl’s answer was right. The Gospel is Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, because it shows us the life we are being redeemed for. The point of atonement is to gift us with the kind of life Jesus lives, which ends in resurrection.

I love you both! You both are examples of being a vessel for the LORD. Speaking truth through and through and I’m here for it. I’ve been watching your videos recently and am at an awe of the work you both are doing individually and together bringing so much glory to Gods Kingdom. I’ve came back to my faith last year November after falling away several years prior. This last year has been a journey and a new love for Jesus like never before. I love running across content that speaks to the spirit and not the flesh. Hallelujah 🙌🏽 Thank you! My new favorite podcast! Fun, real and truth! Your sister from Chicago 🤍🫶🏽
