You know how wood-burning kinda sucks? It's even a little intimidating... That's how we felt when we screwed up a woodworking project with a red-hot soldering iron! We had to find an easier way. After getting inspiration from KZbinrs, the Scorch Marker was created in a woodshop that needed a way to wood-burn with stencils. Since then, Evan and Sarah, the husband and wife who invented the product, have been working tirelessly to grow and improve. We want to make crafting more fun! Does the glue stick to tape? We like to rearrange our unframed projects with staples and we just use clear packing tape in the back and have to use rolling pin sometimes while they hanging on wall in summer. Wish they would last forever but keep fallen ones in a cup. Can the old puzzles be saved without taking old tape off? We like to sign, doodle, and date ours and would hate to lose the memories if it gets torn. We also have our neighbors and friends on them too. Become a puzzle family and the dinner table will be game night all day! Last piece if missing is $5 from mom after 1 month... annoying to have hole but makes us clean the house too lol.

Yes, the glue will stick to the tape. If the signatures are written using a washable or water-based marker they may smear with Makers Magic so, please be cautious as we would hate for you to lose a precious memory.

I’m interested in trying MM on a larger project , can it be used in a pneumatic spray gun? Also can MM be thinned with any kind of additive, to aid in the spraying process?

yes, but please dilute it with water, thin it a bit and clean it out afterwards with warm water and soap.

Do you NEED to use the hot tool? Can I use a blow dryer instead or just skip that step altogether?

If you are using our Maker's Magic it does not require any heat to dry. If you are referring to the Scorch Marker Pen or Scorch Paint they do require a heat gun to activate the burn. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

We have not tried it on wooden puzzles, but you would use the same process to seal them.
