How to glue and mount a puzzle for $1 in 1 minute

If you've been on a call with me or seen any of my other videos you may have noticed that I have a wall full of puzzles behind me.
I often get asked how I glue & mount the puzzles - so I put together this quick video to share with my friends.

If you find a frame that fits the size of the puzzle that prevents the warping. For everyone saying their puzzles are warping etc because I have a puzzle of Troy Aikman I found from when I was a little kid and I’m 26, & it didn’t warp, because it’s in a frame.

I bought poster board , glue & mounting tape but decided I didnt want that much more glue in my life so I duct taped the puzzle across the entire backside & edges , applied some strips of mounting tape to it and stuck it on the wall & its done .

Never thought about using poster board to use for the backing... We just glue both sides of the puzzle and then apply adhesive strips to the back on the sides, corners, and in the middle.

I use clear glue and just dip the brush in water. I wish I could see it better to see how much of the residue you get off, I have very little but there some but you have to have it under the light and be like 2 feet from it to see it.

I did this but my puzzles eventually started warping after about a year. Foamcore is not the best support.

What a great idea. Thank you for posting this. What glue do you recommend? Is that Elmer's? Also, does wiping the glue with a handkerchief change the surface of the colored side of the puzzle? Would it be better to put the glue on the back of the pieces, then put the poster board over top of it, or is the point to have the diluted glue seep down between the puzzle pieces and stick it to the poster board?

I would use command strips. The ones that look like Velcro.

Instead of the foam tape, you can use two flathead screws on either side that you connect with wire, then use two frame hooks with small nails. Make sure you put the screws in before you glue the poster. All that'll be left when you leave are the two small nail holes.

Just regular white glue works, i think this was clear glue

So I’ve already glued the puzzle with modpodge but I was looking for a way to frame it. If I glue the underside some more and put it on the foam, that will stick enough to hang it ?

Water is used to thin the glue to allow it to flow and be brushed onto the puzzle easier.
