FYI those box dyes do contain bleach. That’s how it lifts it from dark to light. And they definitely damage your hair. I can see that its damaged slightly. Color oops is damaging as well, but in a different way. Research. It does not lift your hair from dark to blonde unless it was already bleached. It only removes artificial color. There is some good information in this video but.... yeah.

+Lupe Diaz personally I think blonde hair looks awesome with dark brows so dont let that stop you. in camera my skin color looks a bit lighter from all the lights but my skin tone is a yellow, tan caramel lol my boyfriend jokes and calls me a caramel simpson haha my point is i think itll look god on you girl go for it :)! if not try a strand test or something maybe a wig at a hair store to compare the color with your skin color

+Kazouchan thankyou! and well yea you need to use a toner because when going from black to light you get yellow orange under tones since i applied some purple dye after and purple is a toner color it basically gave me this nicer shade. get some help if you can because since your doing a drastic color you dont want to get blotchy colors you want it as even as possible and just in case you dont know this dont apply the color on your roots first do the rest of your hair first because just like when you apply bleach your scalp releases heat and heat activates color therefore it'll make the dye in your roots area lighten much quicker so be careful.

+saysBEZA as I had mentioned putting anything not natural (chemical) in your hair is never super good but that doesn't mean itll damage you either its really all about how excessive you are, with that note aside, everyones hair is different, if your hair is thin you are more prone to damage, the thicker the hair the more resistent it is. So in my case ( my hair is in the medium range not too thick or thin) I didnt notice any change in my hair, even that second time when it was bleached my curls have remained exactly the same idk if it has to do with the way it was done but i have no damage. that was just my case. If you don't already have damage in your hair that the possibility is greater that your hair won't de damaged because it's the first time that virgin hair is exposed to chemical. Do more reasearch on that first product I mentioned if you want to be more sure. I found it by doing just that looking for an alternative to bleach and looking up various things about it thats how i am haha but this is just my testomonial as to what worked for me as i hoped it could bring up a new point of view and inspiration. It is good you asked though because you always want to be sure of what you are putting in your hair natural hair can be difficult sometimes because you never know how it will react but i hope I was able to answer your question atleast a bit. if you have any other question feel free to ask i'll try my best to answer too.

+Shannon Sunshine Hahah don't worry and im actually thinking of dying my hair purple with manic panic was well. When I used the color oops my hair was black but my natural hair is a brown color. It did lighten me to a blonde from the black color I had. Now for the doubt i'de suggest two things, you can either do a strand test taking a small section of hair from you head and testing out how the hair lightens and reacts to that before even going ahead and doing all of your hair, Of course depending how long you leave it on depends on how light your hair will go so make sure to keep checking it so you wash it off when you achieve your desired shade,as well as keeping in mind that whenever dark hair is lighten you get a orange red undertone a brassy blonde this can be removed with purple shampoo or a toner but since you are dying your hair purple you won't need to worry about that. 2. you can use the dark and lovely go intense line that has golden blonde, and other blondes, this hair dye was created especially formulated for dark hair and for curls so it protects the hair more from drying out, (which that is the hair dye line I used) from there you can dye your hair purple but of course it might not be as vibrant as maybe a bleached head. But once your hair is some what lighter closer to a blonde its easier and less damaging to go blonder from there. ( also a tip I learned when you get your blondish color if you add a vey light purple to your hair your color will just turn out grayish don't know if you know but i'll leave this out there when you use manic panic and you mix it with the conditioner the color you make should be two shades darker than the desired color you want. hope I was able to answer your question and if theres anything else I didn't answer or you have doubt about let me know :)

+Shannon Sunshine With me and my experience I shared positive things about the color oops and the dark and lovely because I had such a positive experience with both everyones hair is different and may react different it all depends on the density of your hair the thickness and if your hair is strong enough to put things in it, which is why the one you choose is up to you i'll recommend both but thats because it went well for me but just like when you try a new product out that they tell you to do a patch test first to see how you react is what i suggest here since im not sure how your hair will react to what worked for me i'de say if you are really trying to go blonde go check out the color oops read the box for your self and decide if its worth giving the strand test a try if you think you hair is really dark then try the color oops and there you decide how long you should leave it on on that strand of hair. because one thing i know for sure is that it lightens ,while your at it look at the dark and lovely box just because when you look at the boxes they give you some information and pictures that might help you. If you do the patch test and decide to die your hair completely with it don't put the color on your roots till the end or get someone to help you because when you put something that lightens your hair near the scalp heat activates the product and since you naturally have heat at your scalp the color will speed up and you'll end up with lighter roots (the same thing happens when you use bleach) and less whenever you die your hair deep condition my favorite is the shea butter cantu. im making a video soon on my favorite products for my hair and how to choose your own.

+Shannon Sunshine I found color oops from reading articles and watching videos the lady from the article i remember said that she cut off a piece of hair the size of an eraser to see how her hair reacted of course it got her to an orange color and she worked from there so especially since you are dealing with virgin hair its really important for you to strand test (also be prepared to dye your hair the same day whether it be using a regular blonde dye box or using the purple i'de also suggest you get someone to help you)

Atleast for me Im speaking on my experience with my hair and how it went for me. I didnt experience any damage or change in pattern when i used it now that would depend on the hair, the density or porosity. I wouldn't recommend dying hair I dont think anyone would because anything that isnt natural can cause some damage(again depending on your hair you may not notice any) BUT if we had to go with something i'de say dark and lovley its made with girls with curly dark hair in mind and i've had a great experience that'de be your best bet as a regular dye to ot lighten your hair and go from there. The color oops is basically stripping the color on your hair previously so you can dye it but without using bleach(which in my case i had black hair dye) but ide go with the dark and lovley first
