Great video! I'm really envious of anyone who can get RSS/RP-1 to run on their computer, I'd love to have a go at playing this. Unfortunately, even using a new KSP install and CKAN to download the mods, it still refuses to even load on my computer, saying there are incompatibility issues with some of the mods. This was a great video, I really liked the structure you build tof the antenna. I sometimes do something similar using struts in regular KSP, but they don't look have as good as this.

If you want transfer planner (dV calculation) to work precise you should set your launch inclination to "Ejection Inclination" as stated in TP. Then burning prograde by set amount gives you encounter. You can set up maneuver placement by clicking "Show ejection Angles" and setting mvn next to "Start Burn". I wouldn't mix TP with MechJeb, basically it's easier in TP. Great series of tutorials tho.

For me MJ planner is well "not very pleasant to work with". In TP you just put some numbers before start and before maneuver and thats it. Got idea for a tutorial. Venus gravity assists to get to Mercury and Jupiter.

Science mode is playing in normal. Creative mode is playing on easy. Career mode is playing on hard. RP1 is playing KSP on Fun!

I have a theory about why you got more power in flight than what the VAB said: Kerbalism's average solar setting models the power generated by your panels as if the sun is 45° up, shining in from the VAB door. So with the probe vertical the panels aren't facing the sun directly. The shadow on the ground shows the direction. Sorry if you already knew that

@@Carnasa On Kerbalism panel where you check your electric production there is a sun icon. Try clicking it. It switches between full exposure, shadow, and about 65 degree exposure.

Hmmm Kerbal gets real is the only one that got “finished” but also was the first real series I did so it’s quality is a lot lower than what I do now, I’m hoping For All Kerbalkind will end up being my best series but I’ve only just joined that and have a total of 1 episode! :p

I am always very frustrated with how underpowered early interplanetary communications are. And when I set the dBm of the antenna high enough to get a connection, the 300 watt radio power draw is much higher than you can reasonably supply with early solar panels.

How did you get ejection LAN to show up as a copied detail? I get several ejection stats but not the LAN. KSP RO 8.1, TWP 1.8, KAC 3.14

my agena engine wont reignite, the ignition chance is down to 0,13 per cent, what i might be doing wrong ?

There's a cooldown period between 15mins-3hours after the first ignition where the Agena engine cannot be re-ignited. You have to wait until after this period has expired to re-ignite the engine.

I cant even follow the very very first step. Is there more than one procedural probe cores? Mine does not have Avionics. I came here because I am unable to create fairings bigger than 1.5m. 6 years ago this was just possible.

I'm still planning my transfer windows using the mechjeb manouver planner, exactly as you showed us a long time ago maybe I should start using transfer window planner, seems a lot faster to me 😅

Yep it’s accurate now too! The only reason I did the old method is because none of the transfer planning mods were accurate in the slightest with RSS (probably due to non equatorial launches) but this completely fixes that now!
