@@AlexPettitt oh 100%, i say im not looking forward to it, its not that bad, It has been fun as a new challenge to get my head around, luckily this one is a simple 3 camera. just a shame to lose so much image when cropping center frame :( thats also super interesting that tik tok wants 25! thats pretty rare these days for streaming services! probably trying to save bandwidth :P

Also apperently Tiktok have the ability to do a backup RTMP stream now which is a nice change! had fun complaining to the TikTok team about that :)

@@RyanSomerfield yeah got to admit I was super surprised with 25fps too when I got supplied the specs doc. I think it’s exactly that, do whatever they can to reduce bandwidth as they know if the stream buffers for a viewer once, they’ll just swipe away. And Ohhh! The Backup Stream is a really nice addition!

Nice video. The specs on Amazon for the black magic device says USB and thunderbolt compatible. However looking at the pictures I can only see the thunderbolt port (I know they look the same but they are obviously not the same in use). I have a PC so is ÜSB" going to work?

How did you get the “Cast with Mac” option? At this point I only get the option of using “live studio”. I tried that, but I can’t fill the hole screen with my video in vertical. So I would like to use OBS with my Mac just like you do. Thanks!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Maybe I heard wrong but why do you need a camlink between the Atem and OBS (2:45)?

You don’t have to, you could go USB-C direct to OBS… but I personally like to use a capture card as I find the image quality to be a little better. I always find the USB-C output from the ATEM is more contrasy for example :) Hope this helps

Great tutorial, can the Atem mini or others automatically switch between cameras, if streaming a playing guitarist how is he supposed to switch between cameras during the performance "look no hands" 😄? So automation would be handy

Do you have an update on TikTok? I have been trying this for a few days with little success. The app no longer supports the PC or cast option, it's the studio app on a PC. Hey - great video! I only have a drop-down selection of resolutions available in the 'Output (Scaled) Resolution' in OBS, which are all 16:9. I can type in the 1080x1920 resolution manually for 'Base (Canvas) Resolution', but not the 'Output (Scaled) Resolution'... any thoughts!? I'm on Windows 11. Unfortunately not, there will always be latency. If you want your friend to join you on IG Live, I would look to bring them into your OBS production. Hope this helps

Hey, yep there is nothing stopping you multicasting to multiple services at the same time. You can either do this direction from OBS or using a third party service like Restream :)

After 2 times testing, I can't login to my instagram account for 6 days due to violation of copyright music/content. I have contacted instagram support and didn't get any respond. When you end the broadcast on FB Live, you should stop streaming on OBS instead. It will automatically stop the live on facebook. The downside of end live over facebook, is you might cut the last 10-30 seconds of delay.
