This is my little guy! I have been doing what you’ve recommended, it’s helped some and I will continue to practice! I can’t wait to know how he does on his next visit! Also, this haircut on him has been my favorite thus far! I can’t get over how cute he is! I’m so glad you film these videos, it’s really awesome to see how he acts when I’m not around and while he’s being groomed! He is seriously the best dog ever! Thank you Dede! He has been so confident walking around, and he still feels great after a month since he’s been groomed! I can’t thank you enough, can’t wait for our next visit!

DeDe you are an amazingly smart lady. I like how you talk to your dogs assuring them that they are okay and tell them what your doing. They understand enough to make the grooming process easier. I will probably never use your services as I live in Alaska. I don't have a dog and had a Pomeranian once but I was allergic to him and the meds made me to loopy so I gave her away to a very good family.

My dog is 13 and I would've lost my shxx if she was treated like that. If that "business" had him for 8 hrs knowing that the owner was outside, they could've easily asked the owner to come walk the dog. If that "business" actually cared about the animals they would have a better business model that doesnt involve insanely long wait times. It takes 45 seconds to say "hey it's gonna be a while, we're running behind. Its been a few hrs, plz come walk your dog cuz we cant for liability reasons"

My Maltese is elderly as well. He had a similar situation to this dog and can no longer go to the groomer. I simply don't feel comfortable taking him there anymore. I was given the option of giving my dog anxiety pills every time he went to get groomed or to not take him there anymore. I chose to no longer take him and am educating myself on how to groom him on my own. I do not feel comfortable taking him back to a place he hates all drugged up and freaked out. He had fantastic experiences with grooming for YEARS and all the sudden things changed. The first time he has an incident at the groomers he literally ripped his toenail completely off because he wanted out of the kennel. He was bandaged at the vet next door to the grooming place and he had a bandage on for a couple days. We decided to bring him back to the groomers after we thought a solution was found. They covered the front of the kennel in plexiglass especially for him so he could not hurt himself. He broke the plexiglass the next time he was at the groomers. He was literally there for five minutes and broke plexiglass. He had a minor cut but was clearly INCREDIBLY stressed out. I do not feel comfortable taking him to a groomer because of how upset he was. I will learn myself and take care of him at home.

I am a Registered Nurse and can tell you it is recommended to urinate every two hours. If you hold it too long it can can a urinary tract infection and the infection can travel up to the kidney. I can't imagine dogs/cats it would be much different. I am so sorry to hear that the poor dog had to wait so long. I think the pet parent did the right thing in coming to Dede. Adorable dog! May he live many more healthy, happy years! ; )

A solution for dogs with tear staining aka allergies... Try good dog food "grain free" food, i have a yorkinese he is mainly white. A lady at petco explained that to me and no more tear stains *hence* no expensive tear staining products! 😀 also applies for treats too, no exceptions...hope this helps someone.

Bentley is adorable!! I love how you instruct his mom on what to do at home. I find it extremely helpful to learn all these tips and can't thank you enough for sharing with the rest of us. On another note....8 HOURS of waiting and no grooming happened during that time??? Poor Bentley. I'd have been furious. I live in small town Idaho and my groomer works from her home. She cares for my little Gypsy just like she does her own dog. In fact, she's boarded my dog numerous times and treats her just like family...sleeps on the bed with her and everything. A good groomer is difficult to find, it seems. Dede, you're one of the best

8 hours! And they did nothing! Now that’s ridiculous! When my boy, who’s a miniature poodle was groomed professionally (I now do it, because I wanted to and because it costs so much! He’s only been groomed professionally once since I started grooming him 4/5 years ago every month or 2, that may change when my life changes, but for know it’s good for us). My parents would drop him off in the morning around 8am on their way to work and pick him up around 12pm on their way home for lunch. And that worked for us. Idk how long the groom took, but he was there for about 4 hours and he loved it because he got to play with all the other dogs and the groomers standard poodles. It was at the vet and now every time he goes to the vet he thinks he’s gonna get a haircut and play with other dogs! 😂 the groomer has since left the vet, and gone to a big box pet store in Australia called Petstock, so I’d probably take him to her again if I needed.

You always tell it now it is - that's why I love watching. That poor dog. I'm so p!eased they came to you. My parents had an airedale and never had any issues in Norfolk uk. I am addicted to your videos. I know you are busy so maY not see this - I have short haired. Chihuahua thAt has had many health issues - after 3 yrs and several thousand pounds vet bills we do d he suffers with pancreatitus. So.returning from 4 days in specialist referral cAre he came home ulset, grumpy and missing us. We have also been struggling to grok. Him. He doesn't need shaving as its pretty cold here and he gets co!d easily so wears a jumper or jacket. But when we tenD grok.number gets pretty snappy\ was never ever !i!d this b4. I know we can use. muzzle but he was so playfull and gentle before , a real.sweetheart. Now I cannot trust him with anyone never had issues like this in the past. He is 9. Anyone who is goes to stroke his head gets a really definite warning ,even me and my husband. this is a dog that has lain on my bed after chemotherapy and been so gentle to me. He s had really invAsive tests and been traumatised. This can. E pretty demanding and stressy and I'm so sad for him. Just hope i being little happy b oh k that was I

I got a spray bottle filled with The Stuff from you and find that I reach for it more often than the two similar yet more expensive bottles I purchased from Chris Christensen! Your spray bottle gives a finer mist and The Stuff keeps the static down leaving my English Setters’ coats so soft and clean. As for intact older dogs, they can start having anal fistulas as well as prostate issues. Although I’m a Breeder I always spay and neuter my older dogs as well as those that don’t fit my breeding program. It’s just easier and better for the dog’s overall health. I do believe in waiting to spay/neuter younger dogs until after the growth plates have closed to avoid joint issues later in life. My pet contract states spay/neuter after age 18 months to 2 years of age.

You whizz with 10 in and around the eyes but I just can’t see the angle etc that your going at. I’ve got a very thick haired yorkie and would love to groom her myself. I’ve mastered the body, ears, legs following your videos but I’m just unsure about the eye area x
