@@atranzjoker Not really. The soil in tropics is heavily leached. There is very little water soluble nutrients... so little nitrates, sulfates, potassium, magnesium zinc, etc. If it water soluble it is gone under 2500mm-3000mm of rain a year. Also the temperature is very high. Room temperature is easily 35 Celsius. So a green house structure that is not carefully designed to vent heat and has good airflow will quickly become an oven. Finally please note many plastics used in the west, rapidly photo-degrade (yellowing and cracking into dust) under the intense UV light of the tropic. Many also lose their physical strength due to the heat. Water system also have to well protected to prevent mosquitoes getting into them and breeding. Mosquitoes borne disease within the Indonesia region include malaria, dengue, yellow fever, Zika and chikungunya. Green house in the tropic needs to be designed to stay cool, its must be made using material that can withstand, high heat, high UV, driving rain (which is very heavy and collapse building when there is wind mixed into), keep fungus and bacteria spores out, keep insects out, and in indonesia withstand earthquakes.... and you have to provide the artificial fertilizer too because the local soil is heavily leached. AND all at a low cost.. because Indonesians really cannot afford expensive systems. The average monthly income of an indonesian farmer is equivalent to $250 USD dollars. So if your green house comes up to $10,000 USD there is no way it can be purchased by the farmer.
