Not much fruit production last year but they did spread about well in ground. Removes crowns from container and transplanted. Fingers crossed for a good harvest this year. Good luck!

Can you show a picture of one that is full grown? How do you support the vine?

I will place a picture in community later today of what it looks like now. I did not train it though. I am letting it spread in one corner of the berry patch. You can train it to a store bought trellis or make your own. You can also run them along a fence line train them up then across, horizontal, the top of the fence.

Alright Mup, here what I got - went to buddy he give me 2 zuchinni I never see. (I found yellow) I pick on big side not huge side.( I know small best. i have a buddy that fries blossoms) they had a lot they were big not huge. But extremely short. A third or a quarter of mine in length. About my phone size. I don't have big cell. Like elongated baseball

Does it need to be protected during the winter?

Hardy in zones 5-9. Mulch it 3 inchs or so like anything, just to keep the soil warm and mitigate erosion around the crown. If it gets super cold I suppose you could lay them down and cover it all with mulch, then uncover in the spring.

@@JulesGardening Thanks for the reply. We live down in the Triangle. Got one in a plastic half-barrel and recently started thinking about what to do once the frost comes. Have never kept plants outside over the winter before (besides the bushes in my yard).
