Hi Jeff, thanks for a great video! My question is in regards to freezing the sprouts; Once the sprouting process is completed, do you recommend to automatically freeze to maintain bioavailability, even if the plan is to consume some the next day, or perhaps daily?

@galemccahill3635
@galemccahill3635 Жыл бұрын
@@susanmacaluso5218 Yes, years ago, when I was studying IRIDOLOGY, (a non-invasive way to see what is going on inside ur body, u can google it. Dr. Bernard Jensen's son & son's wife have continued his work into the electronic age +more). Dr Jensen told us that after our bodys have had bad health habits stopped, been detoxed and been given nutrients it needs, we will start to feel better. At that point the body is stronger inside and we can expect what he termed "A HEALING CRISIS ". It's normal. It's good and to not stop the things we're doing. (Less sugar, stop alcohol, no coffee, no sodas, no white bread, doing enemas or colonics (which pull stored toxins out of one's tissues or organs where body stored them), weekend (or longer) distilled water fasts, eating sprouts and more greens, fruits, vegetables without additives or chemical sprays. Stopping smoking. Including gentle regular stretching n exercises, deep breaths of fresh air throughout one's day, get some sun daily, drink pure water, keep negative thoughts n people away as much as possible, have happy/positive thoughts, help when able, don't over eat, don't eat past 7pm (on normal schedules) and get adequate sleep. I say, also seek & get to know God & read His Word (Bible). 'We don't live by bread alone' and reading the living, Holy Bible the measure of faith we have is developed. We learn, as we get to know Him, we can trust Him and will have the tools to stay strong during life's challenges. We'll find His commands n commandments are for Our BENEFIT. My husband always said "THE WHITER THE BREAD THE FASTER YOUR DEAD". I agree. One of my favorite inspirational quotes is: IT'S NOT HOW MANY TIMES YOU FAIL; IT'S HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRY AGAIN. Especially during the 'healing crisis', the body is cleansing & healing deeply. Dr Jensen shared some amazing examples of healing crisis. There are probably in some of his books. One was a young adult male & his lung problem. Another was a grade school aged girl who had a tumor on her lower back. The tumor developed tentacles as it grew and it became inoperable. With guidance n doing what she should & should not do, the tumor began to shrink including it's tentacles. It's grip was released and I'm not sure if there was surgery to remove it or if it was absorbed. Here's one. Dr Jensen had an elderly client, a lady in her 80s. After being in his treatment clinic he had in those days,, she was to the point of feeling great. (I don't remember what health issue she was in his clinic for..but do remember her glasses were getting increasingly stronger. Unhappily, she was facing loosing her sight.) She had been in his care for some time. Right after she was telling him how good she was feeling, she went blind. After 3 days of being blind, her sight returned and her body had healed that area so well she no longer required any glasses! Praise the Lord. The body knows what it needs to heal & what to heal first. OUR BODY HEALS FROM THE INSIDE, OUT AND FROM THE HEAD, DOWNWARD... We must be diligent to get to the point of the body responding so dramatically. But it is smart and it wants to be well. But it will stop its full efforts if one starts n stops too much. I believe Dr Jensen was the one I learned that COFFEE DRINKERS OFTEN GET HEADACHES FOR 3 DAYS WHEN THEY BEGIN FASTING.

These are kind of in between sprouts and microgreens. If you want them (and the Sulforaphane) to last longer in the freezer, dry them well (a dehydrator set a low temp of like 80 to 90 or so , or just a fan blowing on them in a dry, non humid house. In either case, putting them in paper towels and lightly patting them first, will speed up the process), and then vacuum pack them (preferably in a jar so they don't get crushed). This will extend the life to maximum over any process except for freeze drying (which is an expensive, complicated process and most people can't afford the equipment to do this).

Get a rectangular take out box with a lid. Turn the lid upside down and cut 2 slits close to and parallel to the short sides. Fold a paper towel in half and thread it through the slots with about 2 inches hanging down on each side. Fill bottom of box with about 2 inches of water. Place upside down lid with paper towel on top. Allow water to wick itself up on lid. Sprinkle broccoli seeds on paper towel on lid. Cover for 2 days. Uncover and forget. In about 1 or 2 weeks you have sprouts.

I have four dogs. I feed them home cook meals all the time which include broccoli sprouts best way to get her to eat. Her vegetables is take the meat put it into a pot. Let it simmer get nice and tender, chicken beef, pork, whatever you prefer and vegetables you could do it in a slow cooker let it cook so the vegetables absorb the meat flavoring I even use broccoli sprouts, arugula, spinach, sweet potatoes, throw it all in the pot and let it cook. My dogs won’t eat vegetables either if I just give it to them they get vegetables because it’s all cooked in the same pot. I advise you to do it as right now if you’re giving your dog any type of raw meat you’re putting parasites in his body and it will make him very sick. Please don’t do that cook the meat thoroughly through and cooking in the crockpot with all the vegetables you will be surprised at how wonderful that taste to you also, no salt added though if you want to eat it yourself as I do add salt to your taste, but never into the dogs food

Scooping off seed husks or actual seeds that then birds will eat? Generally I assume that you would not waste so much water down the drain instead of watering things in the garden or at least using it for some other uses. Clean water is such a precious commodity. And even the very slightly soapy water from the dishpan is good for garden plants of all kinds & trees. I always notice that where I throw my grey water the plants always do amazing.

Hello, I'm from Brazil and I just loved this simple way to have sprouts. Do you think it will work with other veggies as well? If yes, do you think I could leave for 1-2 extra days to have more developed sprouts? Like green beans...? Thanks a lot.

Do you just eat them raw after thawing them? I read somewhere you will increase the sulforaphane if you steam it to 3-4min....not sure though..
