I just purchased 3 of these a month ago and these bloom for almost 2 months!!! It was why I purchased them for there very long bloom time as I saw them in another garden in my local Pennsylvania area.) Beautiful.

Through the years i have found that all liveing things have their appointed time and season. Many cultivars are difficult to deal with because of thorns or eventually they become un interesting. If this paticular plant brings you joy . Then it is worth waiting for that one fleeting moment of beautiful blooming glory. Not only is the blossom of the rose fragrant and lovely. But it teaches us a valuable lesson of life. With anticipated joys also come the thorns of change. They are infinitely intertwined.

Thank you, John. Yes, there is something in anticipation of blooms, I just imagine the time when most of roses bloomed only once, how special that time must have been!

They are definitely beautiful in bloom! That’s our dilemma with quince and forsythia. They just aren’t that interesting after blooming but maybe one day they will have ones that are variegated and evergreen. 😂

I have clay around my house foundation. For a thriving quince, how big of a hole should I dig and prepare with amended soil?

I love the shrubs, any suggestions how to stop snails and slugs from eating leaves on the shrubs, hydrangeas, and Roses? I spray with Neem Oil but doesn’t seem to do a lot. I may need to attack them with something else. 🙂

Hm, that is the heritage of my husband. He is Irish and folks in Ireland paint their doors in all sorts of different bright colors.
