Currently starting my second set of freeform locs. If anybody is reading this, he’s not cappin. This is the best advice. Just trust the process and enjoy the journey.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure my last retwist was my… last retwist. 😅 It didn’t feel right. I don’t like how flat my head is afterwards, I don’t like the pain from the tension, and I don’t like all the gel and mousse they use. The maintenance contradicts all of the reasons I got locs in the first place. Lol. Thanks for the inspiration! I love being able to watch your progress throughout the years. 🙌🏾✨

my cousin's had the livest freeforms as kids in the 90s. they the reason why I wanted dreadlocks. they had theirs since they were babies but eventually cut them off as teens.

You can use a little bit of oil after washing it. Just try different routines until you find what works for you

2 questions: My hair is really dry, how can I counteract that without oils? (I like how my hair looks without them but it makes my head itchy) A sizable amount of my hair is unlocked so I was told to wash using a stocking cap until they are. Is this true or will I continue to lock fine without it?

If you have Afro hair type you can do nothing and just wait. But I have European hair it won’t lock or rather it would take a century to lock! I had to backcombing and crochet to start them off it wasn’t locking. But I don’t go back for maintenance I don’t twist it.
