I like North Spore and they are super close to where I live, so if I want to skip shipping I can just take a couple hour drive to the warehouse.

Nice plants in the background!😄👍 How quickly does your Wine Cap culture and grain spawn grow? For me, it takes quite a while. I have this species in my collection but stopped cultivating it due to the long incubation period.
@SporenSprout4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Wine cap colonization isn’t super fast to begin with and can definitely be finicky until it’s outside in its natural environment.

@@SporenSprout Thank you for your response. One more quick question about spore printing, as it's now the fall season, spore collection season. I've watched all your videos on the topic, will there be more videos on this topic? And I'm curious about your thoughts on spore storage. How better in a dry state on foil or in saline solution? In one of Stamets' books, he recommends using salt water to prevent bacterial growth. I searched for information using ChatGPT, and I liked the idea of saline solution-there are many advantages. I also really liked this particular method of spore collection kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4arl3-rr51sgpo I'll be waiting for your response. Thank you!

That’s awesome! In your experience does this process continue to produce mushrooms every year since the mycelium is now in that ecosystem/area, or does it take heavy maintenance to continue having growth in that area?
@renasdupont28064 ай бұрын
it produce lots of spores...they will grow all around the yard now
@SporenSprout4 ай бұрын
Yeah they will keep spreading and growing. The mycelium is robust and aggressive. Just add more wood chips every year and it will keep going.

@ that short got me to video. Regarding substrate (straw) either you should do your little (as in video) but saturated with water or do 4-8 inches of dry straw that will be watered by you or rain. Stropharia r is ridiculously competitive shroom. I grow it on unknown woodchip that gets delivered to our allotment. No hot water or lime, nothing
