1. Keep a clean healthy scalp 2. Make sure all of your products give you slip (shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in, etc) 3. Remove shed hairs with a detangling with a brush. 4. A good hair care regime for older strand sections. 5. Understand your hair (porosity and it’s ph friend) 6. Keep your hair stretched in low manipulation styles with the ends protected. 7. Avoid chemical use 8. Avoid direct heat *not mentioned but the sun is also very harsh on the hair and scalp* 9. Trimming should be at the rate of damage. 10. Take an iron supplement. ✨🔥 fire video

Little note on iron: 1. Probably goes without saying, but you can overdo iron. Too much iron is just as bad for your health as too little, so if you're going to supplement it, PLEASE make sure you are getting your levels checked regularly by your doctor to make sure it isn't getting to toxic levels. 2. Iron bisglycinate/ferrous bisglycinate. That's the form of it you should look for in supplements. It's more bio-available and WAY less constipating than other forms.

I can't get enough of these videos.. She actually knows what she's talking about and I wish back in 2016 I would have found her channel because it would have saved me soo much time and money. Make sure to like this video so that more people are aware of these videos who actually need help with their natural hair because, everyone wants a magic product to fix their hair problems when in reality if more people would simply take the time to learn the science and techniques for natural hair, then you could make virtually any moisturizing natural hair product work.. So many products I almost got rid of and wasted until my technique improved and I revisited some of those same products and they are holy grails now for me.. Sometimes we blame our texture and or products for our hair issues when more often than not its our technique thats causing issues not so much the products. I promise once you learn and master your hair it gets soo much easier.. Good luck on your hair journeys.. 😃

These are the Tips. Watch the Video, Copy and Paste the tip on your Hair Calendar people.🙏 1. Maintain a Healthy Scalp 2. Invest in Products with Slip 3. Detangle Properly (with BRUSH!) 4. Hair Care Regimen 5. Understand Your Hair(Type, Density, Porosity etc) 6. Stretch and Protective Styles 7. Avoid/Less Chemical Use 8. Minimize Direct Heat Use 9. Trim as needed (3-4 Times a Year) 10. Take Iron Supplement Fops, thanks so much. You are a lifesaver! However, I'll say No (1) and (10) are what I'm majorly guilty of while others I try to do my best.

@@daisiesandpandas1218 The comb bristles are too hard. It takes time to soften the bristles. This means your hair will be the victim of that. Curly Proverbs on KZbin didnt comb her hair for the first 4 years of her hair journey. Did her hair wonders. I have found that l have a form pattern where my hair strands want to clump together. So finger detangling is best for my hair pattern. Also henna mixed with your favourite conditioner for 3 hours is great . Also listen to Green Beauty in KZbin too because she is a scientist. 🥰

I am sooo glad you mentioned supplements!!! Other good supplements for hair growth are zinc, copper (2 mg of copper for every 15-25 mg zinc), selenium, evening primrose oil, and the B vitamins (B12, B6, B9 (folic acid), etc.). You will also want to make sure your thyroid hormones are in the optimal range for hair growth. Un-optimal thyroid hormone levels will cause hair loss and thinning. Our thyroid levels naturally decline as we age, you will need to get a good natural path to get on the medication if your levels are low and you are noticing symptoms. Folic acid is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for iron, often times people have an iron deficiency because they have a folate deficiency. Up to 60% of the population has the MTHFR gene for a folate deficiency. Taking iron alone will not solve your iron deficiency without folic acid (in the methyl folate version, don't buy any other version). I can't tell you how annoying it is hearing people say they are taking 300 mg of iron and not seeing a difference, or just seeing a difference at that high of a dose. Iron can be toxic in high doses, I don't think doctors should ever prescribe iron w/out folic acid unless they have checked folate levels beforehand. You may not even need to take iron, just folic acid.

I've put it in the pipelines for the end of the year so I can have enough time to figure out exactly how I would want to approach it. I Subscribed: last year I had to brush out my dreadlocks due to work policy. My hair was wrecked from bleaching so I had to cut it to my jawline... Through your tips and your professional background my hair is now curly again and back at collarbone length :D

I can’t believe I’m only just now seeing your channel! New subbie! I have to start stretching and putting my hair away. I usually wear wash and goes. Could you please do a video on female (dht) pattern hair loss that comes with age? I’d appreciate that. Great tips thanks! 😉👍🏽
