Quarantine has left my stock pretty depleted and Amazon is no longer prioritising “non-essential” items, so it’s been pretty awks for me having to navigate how to cleanse my hair without using my clarifying shampoo every week because that is what I have the most of at the moment. Send help. What are you guys using to wash your hair in this pandemic?

@Queen_D Dont blame science for that, blame people. All science does is provide results of an experiment given. In the rare exception that we have Laws for things, science doesn't provide a fixed, complete or "correct" answer from any given result. Science is not inherently Mathematics, where the only answer you're supposed to come up with is the correct one (exception: it's a Law, so it will have a math equation.) How we interpret those results is a different story. People are the ones who skew scientific results, or even experiments, or just assert their profession on commoners, to fit their own personal agenda. A good example of this, staying relevant to this channel, is a video Afope made talking about fixing protein overload, there was a study she referenced that using a certain sulfate caused protein loss. This was the solution to solving the protein overload problem, but you can easily picture how those in the natural hair community would see these results, and "cancel" sulfates entirely

@@Zisjejk I'm in Texas also and way out in the country with a well so super hard water. I put one in The shower head and it has helped. I have waist-length completely Virgin Hair it has not even been touched with a blow dryer or curling iron since it grew back after I had chemo even still it was dry and breaking and Frizzy and horrible. I used shampoos with harsh ingredients on a regular until I discovered it was the cause of my scalp/hair issues (drying, itchy, burning and tender--every now and then flakes). I'm glad to know that I can use a mild cleanser (vegan, organic and or natural) to do the job in cleansing my hair/scalp. Also, I planned to detox once a month (ACV/bentonite clay).

That's a cleansing shampoo not so much a clarifying shampoo while you don't need sulfates to fully clarify your hair you do need clarifying surfactants and I don't believe that shampoo has that, what's in there I think they have very mild surfactants.

Okay so about your hay fever. I've never tried this, but I recently read the following: apparently eating honey helps your body to accept the polls a little bit more. They say that eating honey from somewhere closeby and all year around helps the best. Honestly, idk if this works since I've never tried it myself but it seems logical. My hay fever isn't that bad so medicines are strong enough to me

Okay. To summarize for myself: I probably don't need a clarifying shampoo because I don't normally use products. Clarifying shampoo gets rid of product buildup. I didn't know that. I probably don't need chelating EDTA ingredients because hard water isn't an issue in my area. Co-washes are probably shampoo conditioner combo, cleansing conditioners for people who wash more than once a week, perhaps due to exercise. That would be me, but that would require chelating occasionally. Would separate shampoo and conditioner cause a need for chelation?
