Thanks Greg. I planted Tailgate, Yellow Doll, and Sangria (all Hoss seeds!) and all transplants look great despite 7.4" inches of rain in 3 hours about 10 days ago. We're using weed barrier, too. I thought they'd be goners after that storm, but no problems so far!

As a kid in the 80s/90s, when there were no seedless melons sold, we “planted” watermelons every year by spitting seeds off the porch, into the sugar sand. We took zero care of those plants and they grew us lazy gardens filled with melons every year. As an adult, experienced gardener, I can’t grow a melon to save my life.

Thank you for such helpful information. I appreciate the schedule you stick to in keeping the plants covered in regard to diseases and then feeding them nutrients. It's been super wet here but can't really put anything outside yet anyhow but going to remember what you've shared.

Boy Greg your sure have a lot of stuff happening there is Georgia. I don't have that problem here Oklahoma. I know your using the fabric for weed control. I use wheat straw on my water melons and cantilope. It basically does the same thing as the fabric with three fold for me. Weed control plus holding monster plus at the end of the season its good for the soil as organic material.

Hey Greg....excellent first of its kind video and much appreciated. If you could only afford one the three disease treatment products which one would you chose the Liquid Cooper, The Garden Phos or the Vegetable, Flower, Fruit and Ornamental Fungicide?

Hey boss man!! I might need to grow me a few watermelons...ya think I can put them in a grow bag and run across the yard???
@jtharp92655 ай бұрын
I do , I grow several seeds in each 10 gallon grow bags , on my deck and then let the vines grow over the deck , as watermelons begin ( I buy the smaller sugar baby kind that get between 6-9 pounds ) I put them in a panty hose swing or any elastic to hold them up from ground . Then I feed into the grow bag & water and have done great for past 5 yrs .... Cantaloupe I have in ground but I still put them in pantyhose to hold them off ground , wrapped/ tied to 2 posts. Good luck. Mrs j Montgomery County, Texas 🙏

Which product do you recommend to spray on just about all of your garden veggies. I'm like the average home gardner, I have squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, beans, and melons, water and Cantaloupe. Would garden phos be something I could use on all of these? Really appreciate you making these informative videos. I also get most of my seeds from you guys, and have never been disappointed. We are here on the coast of NC. Thank you!

Just ordered the Garden Foss, Hi-Yield, and the 20-20-20. I got started late on the melons but they are doing great and starting to put on runners. Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy schedules to educate us home gardeners!!

Do those decease containers come in smaller quantities. I don't need that much.

quarts are the smallest quantity we have. They do store well in the proper environment.

Are you having any problems with ants getting under your lazy garden? I have ants under mine , I dug my taters early because I was afraid the ants were gonna get in them

I have the best onions that I’ve ever had growing in 2 of the long slits , my other onions are not near as big as they are and I didn’t cover those in lazy garden when it got down to 15 degrees. Next year there will be a lot more onions planted there.. and the taters did pretty good, even though I dug them early
