Learn how to farm hydroponic spinach at home. In this video we germinate spinach seeds, show a time lapse of the growth and the Spinach harvest to make a dish for dinner :-) We also plant some Strawberry seedlings that we hope to show you more of in an other video.
Recipe for 5 persons:
525 grams Pasta Penne
1 to 2 spinach plants (hydroponically grown if possible💚)
500 grams of Tomatoes (homegrown if you like 😊)
2 packs of bacon (125 grams each)
500 grams chicken (seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika spice and oregano)
0.3 liters of heavy cream
200 grams of mozzarella cheese
If you like sprinkle the dish with some chilli flakes and bacon cubes (with some of the fried bacon over) on top

A very nice NFT setup you have. I think one day I will copy that... with a cupboard around, very nice idea. I am just starting with Kratky, so one step after the other. But still, a good inspiration, your videos. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much! We're glad you found the setup inspiring. The Kratky method is a great place to start-one step at a time is the best way to learn and grow. Love to see your version with the cupboard around it when you get there! Keep going, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions along the way. Happy growing🌱🥬

@@innehagen4248 many thanks. Will take a while 😂 how do you make sure to have appropriate nutrients in the system? Do you frequently check for it and add more water or nutrients if the level is too high/low? Do all the plants need the same. This is a little confusing for me and hard too find informations about

We usually start with a balanced hydroponic nutrient solution and monitor the water's pH and nutrient levels regularly. We adjust by adding more water or nutrients. If the pH is too high or too low, we use pH minus or pH plus solutions to bring it to the ideal range, usually around 5.5 to 6.5 for most plants. It's true that different plants can have slightly different nutrient needs,and seedlings needs a weaker nutrient solution than grown up and flowering plants. In some of our other videoes you can see how we mix nutrient solution and measure and adjust pH and EC for lettuce and tomatoes. If you don't have a pH and EC meter yet, one way to keep things in check is by regularly changing the nutrient solution-about every 1 to 2 weeks. This helps ensure that the pH and nutrient levels stay balanced without needing to test and adjust them constantly. It’s an effective method when you're just starting out 😃. In this article you can see tables for recommended EC and pH values for many different crops: blog.bluelab.com/ph-ec-and-temperature

@@innehagen4248 Many thanks for your reply!! I already have this PH and EC meter and other stuff. I think , I just need this Ph+/- and then I should have everything in place to start :-) Today I built a shelf with grow light to make my first steps with Kratky herbs and simple veggies. It looks stylisch and I hope it works. Your NFT solution is something for later but there will be the day 🙂

Why aren't you using netpots in this?
@innehagen4248
@innehagen4248 4 ай бұрын
In our experience you dont really need netpots for NFT-systems, and you dont have to think about if the seedling roots reach the water. Of course you can use netpots if you are sure that the roots are reaching the water😊 For DWC and Kratky we do use netpots.
