Thanks a lot for kind words. If you are a hobby gardener and temperature at your place is cool then you can skip changing nutrient solution and just top up with new one. If weather is warm then you can discard solution every 10 days and put fresh one in the reservoir. If there is no infection then just tie a cotton cloth at one end of a long stick and use it to scrub the insides of pvc pipe with regular dishwash liquid

Water Depth will depend upon the vegetables you wish to grow. If you are growing greens then 6-8 inches is enough. If fruting vegetables then at least 12-15 inches is good

How long the DFT system could be. As the water crawls down the nutrients level keeps getting low as the 1st row plants will consume. Does it work like that. Or plant consume only what's required so need not worry as u r circulating the water

Thanks sir (1) It depends upon temperature, reservoir size, etc. But 10 days is a good time frame (2) Yes. To avoid nutrition imbalances and diseases, you should change periodically

In the beginning you can turn the pump off for the night. Later on when plants are mature, you need to always keep it ON or at least for as long as possible as roots require more oxygen when plants are mature and have large root masses

Spinach is a short duration crop. It's best if you change and increase solution strength every week in order to get good results

Sunlight and Nutrition are the only most important factors in growing plants such as vegetables and flowers. Other factors can be manipulated or ignored but these two are must. If you see my videos, i keep plants in direct sunlight and so can you

Maximum times people face root rot because their net cups are submerged in nutrient solution. Always keep water level below net cup bottom. I don't use air stones because of natural aeration that happens with recirculating of solution

First Harvest for spinach in the video was 600 grams, Second Harvest was 1100 gms, Third one 700 and very little on fourth harvest around 200 grams. Seeds sown were around 1.2 grams per net cup. YIELD IS FROM 13 NET CUPS NOT SINGLE NET CUP. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE TYPING ERROR 🙏

Yes. You can keep it outside. I grow plants outside only. Just make sure light doesn't get inside pipes or reservoir. Paint it with dark colour. Unless, it is a severe storm, this system will not be disturbed by winds

I also live in north india where it's going to be rainy season now for next 3 months. If you can have a polyhouse on terrace then it's best but if you want to do it in open like I do then some rain water will always go into your system and you will have to deal with it. If you are growing in cocopeat then your problems will be little less but if you are growing in NFT or DWC or Dutch buckets then you will have to adjust pH after every rain. That's something you have to deal with if you do hydroponics in open. That's why my favorite method is growing in cocopeat grow bags or buckets. It is very forgiving method without having to worry about always adjusting pH or TDS

As long as you keep the growing media moist, there is no need to be concerned about sunlight. As soon as seeds germinate, they require full sunlight

Ideally, water supply should be 24x7 but you can adjust it according to plants stage. Try experimenting with one hour off and one hour ON....then find your sweet spot from there
