My kabocha seeds sat in soil for a month before I tried this positioning. I flipped 'em round and they sprang up in two weeks! Thank you so much for this fascinating tip!

What does runners mean? They grow big?

The main plant produces another plant that you can cut off and grow. Like a baby plant 🪴

Thanks! I have my seeds in my hand, headed out to my garden. You taught me the position of the seeds and also that they are runners...didn't know that.

I've been sowing these in my garden for 4 years. All you need to do is bury the seeds about an inch deep when the soil is warm. Like any squash. They can be on their sides with no problem. I put them in a straight row and then cull the seedlings so they are not too thick.

Thank you I did not know that. I wish you were NZ so I could pinch some seeds lol .....:)

Can it live it's entire life in that size container? I'm trying to plant everything in containers this year. I've already germinated my seeds via Baggie Method so I know which are viable. Just need to get them into their permanent home. I also tried scarification for the first time and those seeds really started quickly.

For best results, you should plant your seeds in Hawaii.

I burry them at least an inch. I planted 8 in separate pots. They all germinated. Why did you put so many in one pot? If they all germinate what will you do with them?

Hi, In how many days the seed start being a plant?
@thomashom75144 жыл бұрын
This video is a waste of time. All you said was to point the seed down. In nature it would sprout anyway no matter how it is turned.

Of course in nature it’ll sprout no matter which way it’s planted. The thing is how long will it take. And if you had heard, he said he planted it pointed side up n even after a month it didn’t sprout. With backyard gardening, time is of essence especially if you live in an area with a short growing season.
