I just bought this plant at our local greenhouse and I can't wait to get it into a container for my front porch area. I got a lot of good information from you on your channel. I'm going to try to take indoors over the winter to keep it going. We live in the US (Pennsylvania). It'll be great to have a plant that I can enjoy in other ways than just beauty. Im just a regular dude who wanted to brighten up my front porch with herbs and flowers. Pineapple sage was one i got and planted somewhat close to my other plants. Thanks for the video! I like to plant things so pineapple sage was gifted to me. It is my new favorite plant🪴 with twists & turns I never expected!! For being a tiny little thing when I got it... it got waay taller than I thought & (in Indiana) when everything else was done for the year, I thought well I should cut a few stems and try drying some! To my surprise it caused the plant to bush AND 2 weeks later... Red buds Everywhere! I decided to research (usually I get that done before cutting on something). It is almost Thanksgiving and it's still flowering!! I'm the only person that still has something flowering. Sorry so long, it's just my new favorite plant and wish I'd bought 2 more and planted them where everyone could see!!

absolutely... cut back the top third as it grows to keep it bushing out and producing fresh healthy growth

I planted some pineapple sage In my front garden and it's gotten so big.. I've pruned it quite harshly to keep it down but with the mild winters we've had (UK) it hasn't held back, loved sitting in the sun during the heatwave and flowered throughout the colder months..

Good advice. I’m just about to try pineapple sage in the garden. I’ve a fair few Salvia already and thought this would be something a little different. I know how you feel about the polytunnel. I have one - but only 6m and for us personally, not business. It’s a great place to work when the weather is crap ;)

QUESTION: I bought Pineapple Sage plant in the spring and potted it on my deck. It did very well. I didn't know it was a perennial then or I would of put it in the ground. I want to save it and put it into the ground next season. I'm zone 5 Chicago and this is a zone 8 plant I just determined. Should I just prune it down and move close the the house? Heated Garage? Bring indoors? Thank You.

hey how are you? I would say regularly throughout the growing season, depending on your climate. We tend to use quite a lot of it so end up pruning a lot!

You could keep them trimmed back, but I would give them more space than that if you plan to grow them long term. Although many of our customers have small spaces/balconies etc

Kids love discovering new things. The local schools in your area are super lucky that you provide gardening enrichment opportunities. Not everyone has a greenhouse or garden. Learning by doing and exploring is never forgotten! It brought me joy to hear the excitement in their voices!
