Maybe next year Ill give them another try. I grew them 3 years ago. I got one measly flower and it was yellow, my least favorite color BUT they have come up every year since and they were very pretty last year. A few different colors. I just left them in the garden all year. We will see if they make it through this winter as it is very cold here too! BTW Love those 3 1/2 pot. I'm going to go order some. Great video as always Roxana!

Wow, I am glad to hear they come back for you, I think they will rot in my zone, I am tempted to leave them under a small hoop but not sure yet.

@@SoilandMargaritas Mine are in a raised bed so that might help them not rob and I have pretty sandy soil so it drains well

Oh theyre gorgeous. Ive never had any luck starting corms. I grew them from seed one year, they were insanely slow like lisianthus.

@@BramptonGardener that’s another thing they grow slow for me as well

Where do you buy these? I’ve never seen them for sale near me. Also, when do you plant them out? In the ground or in containers? How long do they bloom?
@SoilandMargaritas13 күн бұрын
I got these from Sunny meadows farm in OH, I also have another order arriving soon from The Farmhouse Farm. As I mentioned in the video, they will be going in raised beds.

OMG THANK YOU! This is by far thee best video I’ve seen explaining Ranunculus. They are my second favorite flower (next to Hydrangeas) and I’ve been so intimidated by the too-hard-too-grow horror stories and reputation of this flower that I never even attempted to try and grow them. Now I will! Thanks, Roxanna! 🫶🏽🌸💖

So looks like I should have pre-sprouted my ranunculus. I just soaked them & planted them in full sun. Nothing came up:( Maybe I’ll give them another try with your method.
@SoilandMargaritas13 күн бұрын
Some people do it your way too, how long has it been? The corms struggle with too much moist, so rotting due to snow or rain could be a problem if planting directly.

I am the worst at growing Ranunculus. I get it to sprout and they grow but very small. I usually get the corms from Home Depot. Where do you buy yours Ranunculus Corms from?

Mine rotted on me 😅😢
@SoilandMargaritas13 күн бұрын
The thing about these, is that if we take them out "late" when the cold weather had gone, they will start pushing flowers right away when it gets hot and be done, they need a long period of cold in order to get going big. I got these from Sunny Meadows Farm

Oh no, that happens when too much moist and not enough air circulation. They are picky that way.
