Thanks Keith, your the man, watching your videos has helped me stay motivated to grow my business past 6 figures in year one. Your right, the market is flooded with everyone starting a landscaping company, but that doesn’t mean everyone does good work, my first year I focused on customer service and making sure the work is the best I can do, even if it took longer, or cost me a little more. This helped to build good relationships and a good reputation. Everything else followed Find a way to stand out from the others Ps: watch a Keith Kalfas video every morning = Success + Motivation Happy holidays

This 100% speaks to me. Year 1 I got the business off the ground. Year two I reinvested it all into commercial equip and a brand new trailer. Year 3 I have a back up pc of equip for everything including truck and plow just 2 weeks ago. Year three, I need help. Working solo, burning out, at capacity.

Man these last couple vids you’ve been pumping out are gold. The content is great but there’s also something about your delivery and presence that’s different. You seem more calm and focused and in tune with your audience. These are awesome, thanks for doing this man! 🤙🏼 From Mtl, Canada.

I’m 15$ short of 100k this year. One man company cleaning gutters. Just finished year two. I saw a video where you said your buddy made 250k one man cleaning gutters. Next year I’m getting a bucket truck and switching to week of scheduling until the week is full, then I’ll send the customer the updated day of scheduling for their job. That way I can crank out 2-3x as many jobs

Keith, I hear what you are saying. I also know you have had mentors to help you get where you are. I don't have mentors that I allow into my business that way. I am scared to let people in. It is just me. Also I don't think I will be unsubscribing from your channel. You appear to be a good channel with good content. lol

Here in Houston is to much competition. Big amount of miles to cross the border. Seems upper states do good on lawn care. I run solo and this year ill be in the 29k's. I place my bids, other contractors underbid. They have undocumented employees. When I had jobs I wanted to hire undocumented employees I end up solo doing the job because this people start placing hourly wages like they want the same payout like a citizen to the point you are left out with nothing. I will have to start looking into other type of jobs were this people cannot reach were requires license. Few weeks ago I was asked by a customer, how much for lawn mowing? They say no "they are used to on $25" I just walked off. I swear man this people that charge $25 are killing industries. I wish there was something like for citizen or residents lawn care permit that we have to show our county we pay taxes. All those low ballers soon will start move away and customers either has choice pay or do it on your own. 2 main eastern people I avoid them all cost, they tend to hire monthly with large lawns. I have thought moving my small business to upper states may do good than being in the south. Yes, will required re start which it took me 5 years just to reach 29k. I do have debts but is needed, truck loan, riding mower loan, credit card payments, is tough man. Plus helping my parents both were hospitalized. I try to post craiglist and you see low ballers. Two main industries have survive are A/C and Electricians that has blocked from all those low ballers, requires a license plus amount of hours working for a company to take an exam for master and run solo. Makes it hard to hack down prices because is not constant maintance. When contractors get a job, that is the reason they are expensive. I dont lose my faith being landscaper but dang man my state needs to do something find ways to help small businesses to become mid to large business.

You should pay this person a market based wage. You should ask yourself, I you as an expert were doing this job in your business; what would you pay YOURSELF? Paying a market based wage creates real numbers in your business. You should also be paying yourself a market based wage as well.
