Thanks for this very helpful video. Your instructions are so clear and easily understood. I’m going to be knitting a large color stranded throw for my sister, so I’m very glad I happen to see your tutorial. Thank you!

Omg thank you! I'm working on a coat for my niece's first birthday this December and I wanted to line it but the other tutorials were kinda intimidating to me as I'm not a sewer. I know very simple stitching to repair garments but really not anything else. This is perfect!

Oh. My. Goodness. I just adore this argyle pattern ‼️ It's normal or tunisian crochet ❓ I just normal crochet. Will I need to learn tunisian for this ❓❓❓ Please, please, please answer this someone. I love the detailed tutorial about the lining. Just what I needed as I want to start lining. Thank you 💐

Can you use this method for lining bags? I’ve never lined anything. Thanks for this tutorial!

I don't see why you couldn't as long as you like the look. If MB doesnt have a bag liner tutorial, both Bag O Day and Jayda Instiches do.

Hmm, how do you finish this off? Does it get knotted off on the lining or knit side? How do you finish off and make it blend, without looking like a big knot in your blanket?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke 2 жыл бұрын
Knit side. Use a thread that matches one of the colors on the knit side and make a small knot, then weave in ends.

hello I hope youre well I was wondering rn im crocheting with barnet baby blanket yarn that soft kind should i use regular sewing thread or my yarn thread? im not sure what to use bc i want it to be strong enough
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke 5 ай бұрын
Hi there! Regular thread is fine. If I am thinking of the correct yarn, that’s a bulky yarn, isn’t it? You’ll have one hell of a time trying to sew with it. The yarn I used was a fingering yarn, so it was marginally thicker than cotton thread. Really, any sewing thread will work, and you can double up the thread if you want extra thickness.

Hi, Nice, succinct video :-) I am sewing a liner onto a chunky hand crochet blanket. How wide a stitch can I get away with? Thank you

What kind thread or yarn you used to hand sew them together, if it’s not rude to ask :D

I think it would be much easier to line a blanket after blocking. The corners would be straighter too.

Did you use Caron Simply Soft Solids Yarn for sewing the fabric and blanket together or use a different yarn or thread?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke Жыл бұрын
I used a fingering yarn to sew the two together. The simply soft would have been much too thick.

@@ModeBespoke would acrylic yarn do well with sewing them together?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke Жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not. Alternatively, you can use regular sewing thread.

I finger crocheted a chunky blanket with gauge 7 chenille yarn. Am I able to just use a smaller g yarn of the same color?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke Жыл бұрын
🤔 good question. As far as the yarn is concerned, you can use whichever you prefer. Not sure about finger Tunisian crocheting though. It’s never occurred to be, and it’s an interesting idea! If you do try it out, let me know how it worked out.

Wanting to line a big blanket. What do i do if i don't want a loooooooong piece of string?

Just work a small section at a time. I’m also not a fan of too long a string (the tangles are unreal!)

Hello and thank you for this! I didn't see a link for the fingering yarn, which is probably right in front of me. Can you tell me which one you used? I don't want to screw this up, lol.

😂 no, you got this!! It’s really not as complicated as it looks, I promise. Just get that first stitch of the argyle down and spaced out how you want them and that’s it. The rest is cake!

I don’t see why not, so long as you cut the fabric in the shape you need and leave a little ease for sewing.
