This video is the only thing that I have found to provide me comfort when I'm struggling. It helps make me feel less alone. Existential crisis's are the hardest thing I have ever encountered in my life and hopefully one day I will find some solace with the topic. I wish the same to anyone and everyone struggling with similar things. You all deserve to enjoy your lives and I'm confident in each and every one of you that you'll find your corner in this strange universe. Sending lots of peaceful thoughts your way.

This was what I needed to hear. I've had OCD since childhood and it has morphed itself into nihilistic existentialism after me being a pretty hardcore Muslim, which was also OCD. I'm also going through DP/DR, currently on medication and hopefully I'll be able to live a full healthy life. Love from Pakistan.

Strangely comforting, and beautifully summarized. We don't matter on a grand scale, and the world does not wait for us, in that sense we are free to explore paths that give us meaning, value and purpose. :)

Thanks for the great content. I do have one input though: at 5:26: "Even if you don't do anything, and even if you die doing nothing, the world will go on". Why do I feel this to be upsetting? This also conflicts with the Horace Mann's quote: "Be ashamed to die until you have scored some victory for humanity!"
@rohitharsha86583 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately my friend, it's the truth, the universe is not under your obligation, on the contrary, this fact humbles many people, it hunbled me
@shlokagurav54363 жыл бұрын
Maybe its upsetting because we mightve been raised with pressure to do something before we die In this video he literally said theres no pressure on us to reach our potential Its hard to accept this fact and move on because of the upbringing but we shall unlearn our already programmed stuff And Its all our choice at the end i guess to be or not to be lol I mean like to achieve or not to The potential It all on our will power
@JayeshJadhav-c7m3 жыл бұрын
This statement gives you choice and takes away pressure. If this statement upsets you it's good as it shows you want to do something. And whatever you do will matter and it will make difference. All he is saying is even if you don't want to do that's also fine it won't make difference, but if you do it will make difference.

Im literally speechless sid the way you broke down such a complex phenoma in layman terms needs to be appreciated more 🔥🔥, I'm going through something similar here I've lost interest in almost everything cept rappin my heart out on paper/beat. I try to be optimistic & try my best to have a clear mindset regarding my future but it never takes me anywhere. I talk myself outta situations like going to college, meeting up with friends etc or even opting for work. Idk if im suicidal, I feel I'm not, but judging by my actions & my current state of mind. I feel it's up for debate. I personally feel all of this, stems from a particular tragedy I went through as a child. Which I might add, significantly changed my life & killed the inner child in me. I never took therapy. I have been fighting depression for more than a decade now, even though im able to process & analyse the severity of my problems but something keeps holding me back from getting past all my mishaps. It's like I'm trapped but at the same time it gives me a sense of comfort , It's weird I know.

Oh bhai, I was suffering from this since last 8-10 months without Knowing that this concept already exists. I thought I am the only one who is going through all this and thought it's some mental illness. But after some months i pushed it aside and got back to normal routine. After this experience and learning I gained from it, I find myself totally different from the person I use to be (In a better way). But this period gave me lot of stress, which led to telogen alluvium, currently recovering from it.

There are things that we know that we know. There are things we know that we don't know. There are things we don't know that we know. And there are things WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE DON'T KNOW. That's the greater story and truth we may perhaps never know - but that's what brings the mystery in infinite reality and ever-flourishing curiosity to lead us to existential thoughts and philosophies...

I know may be noone will read it anyway I need to say this. If you are having nihilistic thoughts and it's making you suffer , it is difficult to find a logical explanation to deal with it ( may be you can). I tried about 3 years to justify life but nihilism constantly questioned my choices..Now I feel a little better not because I find something meaningful but I just decided to stubbornly say " it feels good to live...I want to life ..i don't care if it's meaningless ..." ...To be honest at starting life didn't felt good but now it feels better...Don't worry we will get used to it humans are good at adapting....
