Why does smoking feel calming? Smoking tricks your brain by releasing dopamine, a "feel-good" chemical, which temporarily reduces stress. But here's the catch: nicotine actually increases heart rate and blood pressure, making your body more stressed in the long run. It's like borrowing calmness from the future-short-term relief, long-term harm. 🚭

They feel calm only after the drag but the same state of calmness doesn't stay forever unlike using other modes like say meditation or journaling etc. So, is it really making them calm ? Isn't it anxious attachment which makes them think they are calm, but aren't.

And appreciated the science of Homoeopathy. With due respect to your excellent knowledge , please experience Homoeopathy and that may change your opinion.

It makes no sense. I am a smoker and I know how bad it is. Instead of telling some easy way to quit, he is in fact making smokers feel justified in their behaviour
@kibutsujimuzan2328
@kibutsujimuzan2328 Күн бұрын
@@marichikat904 no no no, love. I guess you've misunderstood the intent of this video. I'm a non-smoker first of all. But we all struggle with our own habits/addictions, etc. He, in no way, is trying to justify smoking but just trying to understand why most people feel a sense of "calm" after drinking cigarettes - which I assume to be one of the most prevalent reasons why they're consumed so often, especially at workplaces. Now, if it didn't give you any temporary relief it's pretty obvious nobody would get addicted to cigarettes at all, right? So that's the goal - finding what is it that gives a sensation of calm to the smokers which will ultimately help them ease out their cravings while on their detox and healing journey. You see? PS he also gave you an "easy way" to quit (tho there's no such thing as an easy way out) - breathe in and then breathe out really slow. This breathing technique has been researched. It's the same reason you feel de-stressed and your mood's uplifted after singing! :)
