Amazing video. I don’t remember anything from childhood, but I think my problems stem from early adulthood when I’ve experienced negative things and internalised them into my mid twenties now. Also, I think it’s great that as an adult, we can limit the type of criticism we receive by setting boundaries which you can’t really do as a child.

Great video, you two. Thank you so much. Looking back, I was told that I _must_ do as my boss says. I think that I took it that, since he/she/them were paying me, I had to live by their values and not my own values, so therefore, my values didn't matter. I was at the complete mercy of his/her/their decisions. The same philosophy applied to the culture of dating and relationships, my values didn't matter. I am working on this. Note to self: I need to stop catastrophising!

I love and get tremendous comfort and value from your videos and I’ve done the many times sat with,not run away from RLF BUT, this nagging little @!!😢 keeps coming back at me. Saying have you done it truthfully?,honestly? gone deep,deep, down further to the “ real source “ mid ocean seabed deep not chickened out and stopped half way? How do we truly know we’ve done it right? Then we have to replace this unhelpful set of beliefs with something affirming- is this story true? or are we playing a cruel game on ourselves? Love to hear other insights how others get past this though process ❤

It looks like you are making good progress: WELL DONE! You are correct; the Inner Child does play games, and you could have identified one. To check if this is correct, the next time this idea arises, enter into the Inner Child conversations by the Golden Thread Process; why don’t you believe we have done this truthfully? Do you think we chicken out on things? Why have we chickened out in the past? Are we doing it now? Why are we doing it now? - You get the idea; we have done several videos on this technique you’ll find in our KZbin archives you may find helpful. It seems you are building good communications with your Inner Child, don’t forget to listen, be genuinely interested, and value the answers. Keep up the excellent work with love and kindness. i don't agree with you on that one David. Not all adult children ccj themselves. I don't because it was done too much to me. I work to protect myself from people who do that. I see them as my father and I don't like them at all.
