i can just about hold it for 10 secs normally. i heard these are good since their not as hard on the wrists. my wrsits are stressed out allot from normal handstands.

Great video, but the handstand on the floor is known to be harder than the handstand on parralletes. You need have more strength in your wrists, and you can't avoid to fall back because the inside of your hand isn't going to give you the strength to compensate. But I agree that for the strength of the shoulders, parralletes is harder ;)
@mesharma39084 жыл бұрын
it depend on your training if you train on ground you will find paralletes harder but if you train with paralletes you will find ground harder best is train them both
@AshtonFitness4 жыл бұрын
It completely depends on the individual - some people will find it harder on parallettes and others will find it harder on the floor. In my experience, most people (including myself) find it harder on parallettes :D thanks for watching!

Ashton Fitness Exactly thank you paralletes are difficult for me
@GobbyD2 жыл бұрын
Much much harder on parralletes for me I can hold a handstand for as long as I want but parallettes are impossible to me
@robertorb11142 жыл бұрын
I have friends who are proffesional in ground handstand and very difficult with parallets. For me I struggle with ground but im expert with parallets. I was training for ground handstand and one-day i tried with parallets and i find to be very easy for me.

Hi Ashton, thanks for the vid, i had a q about bailing on p bars...what if the p bars are much higher so you cant put a hand infront (thats how i normally bail out). I want to do them on higher bars so I would have to twist and land on my feet but not sure how, please could you make a video on bailing out of handstands on high p bars?

Took me a year to be consistent on the floor. I didn't even have to train on the paralettes. Paralettes are way easier

I find it easier on parallettes than on the ground, of course, thick paralletes (1.5 inch).

I mastered it on a trap bar. Now i use 55 lb flat edge barbells. Im holding 60 seconds . Im trying planche and pushups. Funny everyone knows who i am . People see me doing backflips muscle ups and hand walking . Im 65 years old. The gymnastics kids are impressed just like the average gym goer. Im a party of one. Knowbody else is anywhere near my level. At the gyms.. holding a handstand on top of the pullup bar gets attention. Lol
