How To Hang A Wood Gate That Will Not Sag!
In this video you will learn how to hang a wood gate, wood barn or shed windows, wood doors for your shed or barn or any fence gate application with hinges.
I purchased the gate hinges from Harbor Freight for a little over $3. They only came in galvanized steel so I had to paint them. I found out how to do that so that the paint will not chip or flake off.
I built the barn from the design and physically did all of the work by myself. The gates and Crossbuck windows were some of the final touches.

I think Harbor Freight redesigned their hinges. The ones I just bought look almost identical except there are 3 holes on the rectangle flap piece and the diagram on the package actually shows 4. They didn't come with screws. A #10 wood deck screw sits almost flush on the rectangle flap, but not on the other side. The holes are actually different sizes. I wanted the screws to sit flush inside the holes.

Will this work at a length of 13' 6" without saggaing?

I would think so. You may get some twisting flexing movement being that long but you could always add a little more bracing or do a little different design to alleviate that. Also, if you go that long your hinge selection and fastening will be important.
