I was hoping to see something more elaborate than hooks. You should've added some caulking, then screwed the hooks because eventually you'll rot out the wood. Ask me how I know...

Yeah the wood fascia seems to rot no matter what especially if you don't paint it every few years. I've never had these small of hooks cause any damage on this large of fascia though even after years. Good idea on the caulking, couldn't hurt 👍

Not a bad video. Great idea and you can leave the hooks up year round once they're up. One critique, the corner of the roofline, add a hook on each side of the corner. Will create a sharper line when looking at the house from the street.
