I'm Irish but I love rice as much as potatoes. I can make a meal out of just a bowl of rice with my special sauce or fresh veggies or a cooked egg. It's so versatile and easy to cook a big batch. Really enjoyed this video. Actually I enjoy all your videos. Thank you.🍚

Japanese rice is the best white rice I’ve ever had in my life! I usually don’t eat white rice in Canada but when I travel to Japan, can’t resist it! 😋

As always, I really enjoyed the video. You create true beauty between the high quality of your videos and the natural scenes. I had been waiting for the harvest. In Canada's Prairies our farmers grow wheat, rye et cetera. The flow of wheat (liquid gold) is a beautiful sight too. Thanks.

Japan processes their eggs with ultra violent light or some other step beyond what the US does to prevent Salmonella and other bacteria. Because it is part of Japanese culture to eat a raw egg on their rice. Thank you for the suggestion to slightly cook the egg before putting it on rice. I've had brown rice go bad in my pantry because the oils in the hull start degrading. It tastes yuk. I don't like brown rice anymore. White rice for me please!

At the beginning of this year. I spent 3 months in Japan, and I am being honest, I do love rice 🍚 . I was on cloud nine to eat japanese rice, and honestly, I was in kochi prefecture and ate koshihikari rice, and it was so good I ordered an XXL bowl. I returned the next day at the same restaurant to eat the same bowl of rice 😊😊

Thank you for this ! Btw white rice might be the healthier version, less nutriments but also less arsenic and when you eat a lot of rice it's important plus it's more digestible for some people.
@zaarkhananal7165Ай бұрын
Parboiled rice and sprouted brown rice are healthy alternatives to both. They both retain the healthy bran layer without the digestive issues from the arsenic. Parboiled rice comes in different grades 30%, 40%, and 50%. The grades pertain to the amount of bran that has been removed. 40% is my favorite because while it retains a good percentage of the bran, it also has a smooth and buttery flavor similar to white rice.

Konichiwa, Samurai Matcha-san, what month is the rice harvest in Nippon? 🍚🥢🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
@twilightinavalon25 күн бұрын
Surprisingly, white rice has some advantages over brown rice! Brown rice contains an antinutrient called phytic acid, which makes it more difficult to digest and reduces your ability to absorb iron and zinc from food. Brown rice is also higher in insoluble fiber, which can be harsher on your stomach. White rice can be easier for some people to digest, especially if they have digestive issues.
