How to have a Peaceful Marriage

Peace at home is one of the most basic needs we have. Is there any simple thing we can do to have a successful marriage?

I had a marriage counselor ask me if I wanted to be right or happy. I told him It makes me happy to be right.

The truth is the hohma wisdom is that when you cancel ur right for ur loved one it’s true love if not it’s a selfish love.the reality is that each side should look only for the other benefits but for this to happen sacrificing selfish desires is needed And only then the wife will return the good same way.but man is forbidden to think he has a right to receive as well as he give that is the selfless love only then she ll make him a king.good luck

Yea is better to be kind but this kindness should be sincere. When he ask you if he should be honest , that was very clear that he wasn’t trying to be one.

The Moroccan Jewish WAy for chalom bayit is similar.if u want to marry a Moroccan woman first of all u have to test your resistance if she take her shoe hill and hit you on ur scalp and you say nothing then ur ready for the marriage

It’s better to be kind than to be right, OK. But Rabbi, would you give this same advice to a woman? To say “yes dear” to her husband? In US culture everything is expected to revolve around the woman’s wants and needs. I see even religious leaders putting forth this line, and it saddens me.
