Really good video, I (and my team) have struggled with this a lot: we only have fun when we win and we're all trying to climb. I'm for sure gonna try and see if this works, just trying things and playing whatever seems fun. I think it's not entirely one or the other, I think there's a good balance between try-harding and for-funning, and that balance is different for everyone

I've stumbled upon one of your shorts and I have to say that the rest of your content is amazing! The long-form video essays, with shorts as a way of advertisement, are very well made (the editing, the script are spectacular for an up-and-coming youtuber)! Keep up the great work and don't give up, because you have a lot of potential!

tl;dr: if you're bothered by toxicity, turn off chat, it's better for everyone involved hard disagree with step 2 for a couple of reasons. first off: the idea that if you want to mute chat you should just play a pve game feels ridiculous to me. it would be like recommending a chess player to play sudoku, yes, both require skill and are rewarding, but playing against real people is obviously different. secondly: if someone is having a mental breakdown just ignore them (this one is hard and I also sometimes find myself arguing back with people who are flaming). it's the same concept as bullying irl, to a toxic person any reaction is a good reaction. also, making them more mad is just contributing to the problem (2 wrongs don't make a right). also the chat doesn't seem like an important component to the game to me, 99% of what is written in chat is bs anyway, so you might as well turn it off (if you're bothered by toxicity like I am). thanks for reading my ramblings, cheers

I can see your point very clearly. The reason I recommended the thing with a different game is not because I think it s the same, is because I think the player component is the only thing that League has going for itself. By that I mean, rank is too toxic, and if you remove rank from the list of progression things, the only thing remaining is the social aspect. So, if you remove that as well, what s there to enjoy? The gameplay can only suffice for so much. If the game had other progression paths that were more healthy, I would get why one should turn off the chat and focus on the game. But there aint much to focus. Regarding on the reason why I think getting people more mad is a good choice, is basically because it allows you to create fun in a scenario where the “desiged fun” is not allowed. Collaboration with teammates is the core of league, and if that is denied from you, again in the context I just described, I think my choice is one of the few remaining

Haha what you do is basically what i do when i cameback, and i enjoyed playing with someone that i kinda talk to and if my duo is flaming i just laughed at him, maybe because i played to much tarkov after leaving league i developed this kind of personality

Try not to have very quiet music in the start of your video and then have the voice audio much much louder
@arvanthetraveller88 ай бұрын
So the music is not loud enough? I could really take some feedback on audio balancing, is my weakest suit in regards to video editing, so could you please elaborate
@ItsAGoodMan8 ай бұрын
You can go with -6db on Main Voice and -15db on bg music. If you have sound effects, you can set it to -12db. Hope it helps!

@@arvanthetraveller8I think the main issue is that the watcher might turn up their volume thinking the video is too quite. Then because their volume is too high, they get blasted by your voice. I actually like the low music volume overall, it suited the calming vibe of the video and your voice.

I will try those in my next vid. Thank you!

That makes a lot of sense actually. The discrepancy might be too much or I should ramp up the music when I m not talking
