Paradise planets are the BEST for a starter base. . . well for most bases it's the best to have. Outside of the scripted storm, that might be in Guide 2 (haven't watched it yet), paradise worlds will never have a storm to deal with, giving the perfect opportunity to go explore without worry of needing hazard protection. Aggressive fauna, on the otherhand, different hazard all together.

Dude, my space stations look nothing like this. It's just two hallways going to a small room on either side. There is always one technology merchant and one mission guy, and that's it. I don't have that big area full of vendors at all. I've been to 6 stations now and they are all the same. I may have deleted the updates on accident or something. Do I have the vanilla game?

Nope, same game. Each big update has a unique name like Expedition or Singularity. They usually come with an expedition that is only available for about 6 weeks. Don’t start with an expedition, though. Start with a normal mode, then do the expedition once you’ve made it thought the tutorial stuff and have a handle on the game. (When you get to The Anomoly the tutorial is basically done). Then start the expedition. It’s a separate save and a new start, with specific goals and things to do 👍🏻
