My husband NEVER apologizes, but I had been practicing taming my tongue and really tuning in to the Holy Spirit. We had an argument and he had the perfect opportunity to apologize so instead of nagging I just prayed about it. As I was doing the dishes, he physically came to me, loved on me and apologized. I couldn’t help but laugh and smile because GOD!

You said several videos back to “love your husband like God loves him” and that has changed my marriage. I was constantly finding the faults in my spouse and now I constantly remind myself of how wonderfully he was made and all the qualities God loves him for. You are doing such good things and saving countless marriages with these videos. Thank you Milena!

I’m 9 months pregnant trying to manage my household today clean take care of the kids and I was lashing out on my husband while he’s at work and I sat down to rest and came across your video. Immediately changed my mood, inspired me to change my tone to him and feel renewed in my day. Thank you - you made my day so much better today.

First, I do want to say that I'm so happy that Milena is teaching biblical womanhood. There aren't many influencers out there that are this strong in their faith to spread truth in His word. I wanted to say to women who are going to attempt these suggestions Milena has put forth here: PLEASE manage your expectations of how your husband should respond to these attempts to get him to "drool" over you! You should not go into this with the expectation that you'll see immediate and positive reactions from him. In fact, if you do, you most likely will feel bitterness and resentment about your hubby if he doesn't respond by treating YOU as "expected". Please, if you start to incorporate these into your marriage, do so as an act of worshiping and obeying God. Don't expect anything in return...just obey the LORD.

Couldn’t agree with this more! I think it’s so common to be tempted to say “okay hello I’m doing all the right things where is the perfect response that I’m *owed*” and that is for sure not the heart posture God is after! Doing these things prayerfully and as an act of worship to God is such important advice!

Here’s the thing. While yes, you are correct, and men’s role in marriage does also need to be talked about, that’s not the point of this video OR Milena’s channel. Milena’s channel is specifically geared to women. That’s her demographical focus. I really don’t understand when women comment on videos like this with things like “okay but what about men”…that’s not the point. The point is to focus on what WE can do and give, without expecting something in return.

I recommend reading the 5 love languages book. They have a free test online too. I had fun doing the test with my hubby. You can make it a date! Go out to a restaurant and take turns doing the test (reading the questions out loud to her) Then go over the results together! It’s a great conversation starter and leads to deep conversations that can benefit your marriage!

4 kids and married for 11 years, today was so rough. With him in school for masters and a full time job, I’ve been feeling so angry lately. i fell into nagging and today started an argument with him. I was looking up workout videos, then this video appeared out of no where! All this to say, half way through this video I felt heavily convicted. I called him into the room and apologized, and everything is ok now. Thank you so much for every word!! Every word!!

Sweet girl let me first say that I am so proud of you. Many people are unable to see their blind spots and what they do wrong. You are already on the right path to change bc of that. I would like to encourage you to set some goals for yourself. First try doing this. If things get out of hand, have the first goal be to have it end much faster. Reflect and come to your husband with apologies. Try keeping records of this somewhere. Either in a notebook or on the notes app in your phone. This is a great way to sort of check yourself. After doing this, move on to the next goal, where you see yourself reacting differently from the get go. (I’ve been married for 12.5 years.) I chose to do it this way, bc I was not expecting immediate perfection from myself and giving myself grace, in doing so, I felt I had a higher chance of true change. And guess what? It worked! I have now consistently for quite awhile, reacted differently straight away. In situations where I was upset. You can do this! I will be praying for you. 🤍

I’m not married, but I do live with my boyfriend and we have a baby girl together we’re both 22. And we wish we did things differently, but we haven’t. So here we are. I am still going to do these things for him because I nag all the time, constantly am complaining, we’ve had severe traumas from mentally ill parents with drug addictions. We are doing so great and I really do need to be easier on him. Sometimes I act like a complete brat. He is trying his very best and I want our home to be fruitful and pure for our daughter so that we can encourage her to live a lifestyle of god. Even though we may not have started our family biblically, we want our life to be biblical and I think practicing these things silently without boasting, will lead him to do the same as he is a sweet and pure soul who loves the lord. Thank you for this video it really really encouraged me. Tame the tongue. What a great phrase. And boy do I need to practice that one. Lol

Let me tell you the first few years were rough, but even with a new little baby, we are now SO much happier and more in love than ever because I started making these changes. Yas! Also, I returned home from the thrift store to this video. I went to the store after seeing your videos about modesty and really wanting to break up with my skin tight jeans. I prayed before I went in that I would find everything I need with the $40 I had...and I found A TREASURE TROVE. Modest-dressy-dress-winter here I come!

I stumbled across this video and was intrigued. I don’t normally watch content like this, I’ve been married 33 years with all the ups and downs a marriage goes through. If you’re a young woman watching this, this is good advice! Husbands can be jerks, but so can you. And trust me when you look back on your marriage after 33 years you’re going to see you were in the wrong a lot of the time. And that’s ok. We’re human. I watched the same sort of things when I was young, trying to figure men out. They’re pretty simple creatures. A nice home, a warm meal, respect and a little fun in the bedroom and they’re happy. Don’t over complicate it 😊

I learned very quickly that praying for my husband and allowing the Holy Spirit to move creates such peace in our marriage!!! I'm no longer tired from correcting him because it wasn't my place to do that anyway. Hey! I’ve been meaning to find a Christian who could answer this. Does lingerie come from society’s standards and not the lord? Is it something that makes sex more like objectifying a woman vs just loving her body without “dressing” it up? I wonder how many Christian couples use lingerie or not? Do you think lingerie could be coming from the devil, causing men to be more lustful over women in general? Hope this makes sense, it’s hard to put in words and would be easier to talk a lot in person lol I guess to add, is lingerie really encouraged because is it literally invented by man, by men, in their interest. Not from God and his vision for sex 😅 hope that helps clarify this perspective.
@feather8894
@feather8894 Жыл бұрын
@@amandav9753 I have been thinking about the same thing. Lingerie definately makes men more lustful, I think we can all agree on that. But when it is husband and wife? The most important thing about christian s3x is that it happens within a marriage and ends with the possibility of life. if lingerie is at play should not make any difference, unless it is used to manipulate the man to sin.
@Bwoood
@Bwoood Жыл бұрын
@amandav9753 I've never thought about this like that before.. My husband has said a bazillion times that lingerie does nothing for him because he just wants plain Jane me. That hasn't stopped me from wearing it because I personally enjoy it... but now I'm starting to think otherwise. This makes a lot of sense, and I could see how this could potentially be bad for some men/women especially considering if they have a sexually immoral past with porn etc etc. I don't think it's necessarily a sin, but to some it might be... something to ponder! As someone who did not wait till marriage, I can testify that intimacy with my husband before marriage vs after marriage is mind blowing. Even though I am not proud of the things I have done God used this to show me why sex in a marriage is beautiful and healthy! Took me a while to get there but I am glad I did and that I dont ever have to go back!

Also..going along with praying instead of nagging (which...YES)...Something major that I didnt realize was even possible : commit to not arguing with your husband. If there is some kind of contention/disagreement, kindly share your opinion and thoughts, and let it go, give it to the Lord - joyfully! It's better to be at peace than to be right all of the time

I loved this video so much!!❤ For a bit of background, I've had some chaotic years, dealing with infertility, job loss, church loss, PTSD and finaly a car accident 3 months ago. I have not been an amazing wife, but my husband was very supportive, and never did me any reproches. But I've been getting a lot better in these couple weeks, finaly got in therapy, and I finaly start to feel alive again! I've really been having on my heart to keep my home better, be the real help of my husband that I want to be. And in only the last couple of weeks, wow! It changed things. I am implementing your advices to my daily life and it's amazing the difference it makes to only greet my husband at the door, or to pick him up at works so that he can avoid the bus 🥰 Thank you so much, it's so inspiring🥰

I'm a 73 year old widow. My husband died 13 years ago. I wish I would have practiced these things. I do remember times when he was watching something on TV (usually violent murder mysteries) and I would leave the room and want to complain. The Lord had me do as you said and pray instead of nag. God reminded me that I was not my husband's Holy Spirit. I pray often for marriages and families, knowing the enemy hates God's order and design. God bless you all❣

I’m a Christian but I disagree with some things… I don’t think you should just pray. Like can’t you pray but also communicate? Just praying alone when he’s right there to communicate with seems a bit passive. Also I don’t think it should considered sinful to not have sex with your husband if your aren’t in the mood, why shouldn’t he be able to respect your mood? Like if you’re sex life is not compatible that’s obviously something that should be worked on but if you just aren’t in the mood, you shouldn’t be forced to do anything you don’t want to and he should respect that
@lilly5908
@lilly5908 11 ай бұрын
Yes you can, but sometimes we just overly nag when it’s unnecessary and we really just need to pray and calm down. If you don’t want to have sex then you shouldn’t but if you only want to a little and he really wants to you should but obviously it’s your choice and it’s ok not to

We’ve been married for 35 years. This is good advice. It took me awhile to learn these things on my own through trial and error. I am here since told me, I am in much nicer person than I was in earlier years of marriage. I spent so much time nagging and trying to be his mother versus his wife. It’s sad to think of all these years gone by where things could’ve been better but, we have loved each other through it, and God has blessed us. Now in our older years, we really do have a pleasant loving marriage. Thank you God.

I like that you know WHY you're meeting him at the door and what it does for your husband and marriage specifically. Because it may not be something that every marriage or husband sees as beneficial for this season. Years ago the Holy Spirit said, Girl why are you not opening that door when you hear him there with the key! LOL I listened, and my husband has appreciated those moments. I'm talking late at night because he's a musician and often travels.

It is so true, it does start with us women. Once we change for the better our men are able to open up and do the same. I think the most important thing I've learned since doing things for my man ie.. meeting him at the door, making sure he has dinner and lunches made for work, coffee ready to go in the morning, ect. It really makes you love him more. I found the more things I did for him the more I admired and loved him. We really need to take good care of our men, they are so sweet and special.

I totally understand what you mean. We disrespect & put down our kids too often by saying things like that. But I do know what she means. It’s more our attitude, I think, than physically dumping our kiddos on our husbands. There have been days where I am so at the end of myself and frustrated and overwhelmed by my two sweet kids and their needs that I just want to leave them with him as soon as he gets home, and tell him everything they’ve done that I’m frustrated about and go be by myself for a while. That’s what I think of when I hear “kids thrown at him as soon as he walks in the door” 💁🏼‍♀️❤️

My son will be someone’s husband. These are flawed people. I’m not perfect either. So why do I keep holding him to this weird high standard. He works 12 hours a day and he relaxes playing videogames but we have 2 kiddos under 3 😅 it’s a hobby that he loves since we met. So now I’m praying to not nag or be unhappy when he plays. Ask how it went and be supportive but also praying that God will let him also find joy and rest with being with us. I know being with the kiddos and keeping them entertained can be draining at times so I’m praying to be wise and understanding towards his needs.

I'm not a Christian but I get the idea of husband and wife roles, like ine breadwinner and one housekeeper. What I wonder about is, if the husband can make enough money working two days a week, does that mean that he can spend four days a week on hobbies and the woman still has to be "on" 24/7? This is the part of "equal but different" I don't understand.

Totally agree we should not nag. BUT I am also not my husband’s mother. As a husband and wife we take care of the household together and if one of us are ”slacking” and expecting the other one to do all of the stuff there MUST allow a room and space to have a converstion about it!! Yes, we can pray and let the Holt spirit work! But we are also adults that need to take responsibility over our home and family etc- so communication is key, nagging is not.
