Just want to encourage other moms too- I cut screen time about two weeks ago and at first it was tough. He would tantrum and want it but after a few days of this, he realized it wasn’t coming back and was totally fine with it and doesn’t ask anymore. The craziest part is- his play changed. He would constantly want me to play with him and be entertained and now he goes and plays independently, or will go put his storypod on, and he’s fallen in love with reading and we read at least an hour a day. So it will be ROUGH at the beginning, but the reward for your child is so sweet.

Currently drowning in pit of despair from the transition of 2 under 2 and I really reallyyyyyy needed to hear this. I’ve had suspicions about a few of these tips but my pride has just been keeping me under from surrendering to God in resting and yet numbing my brain in shows. You’re right! Is is so hard to rest and yet I waste the time at the end of the night to fill my mind with reality tv so drown out the scary thoughts in my mind when that’s a time that I could actually be reading my Bible and praying to God about what’s going on inside. Whoever sees this comment, can I please ask you to pray a little prayer on my behalf? I so badly want my motherhood to transform because I know what I’m living is not what God has intended but everything is just so hard that I just have no courage or strength to keep moving forward. I need Jesus to take the wheel

#5! As a mom of 4 I agree with alll of these! People think we're crazy for doing life WITH our kids as well. We homeschool, are entrepreneurs, we travel, all with our children. It's different to what I was taught as a first-gen Latina but this is what God revealed to us as we have made him the core of our family unit and lives. Great video!

Something that I’ve been doing with my son is just being interested and involved in the things he enjoys like Minecraft or building with legos. I find that by being involved and interested it lets him know that I’m there and also to have him explore different things even if it’s not what other kids are doing.

Prayer walks are something I started in 2020 and o have continued to do them as a new mom. Just 30-45 minutes can change your whole day! I did it while I was pregnant and even when my daughter was a newborn I carried her in my arms and just prayed. I do this daily ❤ Pls pray for me and my daughter as I go back to work on the 14th after having the blessing of being able to have an extended maternity leave into 6 months of her life. Also that she starts sleeping through the night. I have loved breastfeeding and keeping that closeness I’ve made a bond with her, but I know for both of us to thrive and not just survive we need sleep.🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you and God bless ❤

Before clicking this I thought, "let's see what big sis is saying", then chuckle-smiled (is that a word?) after remembering, "wait, she's actually younger than me". Thank you for the example you are setting Milena, as a wife and mother, and as a daughter of the Most High. Thank you for being bold to share, bold to speak and bold to correct. Your videos are both encouraging and convicting, and your vulnerability and faithfulness is admirable. Pruning is a painful thing, it's difficult, but moreso it's beautiful, and there is a safety and a comfort in knowing that we are in the hands of the ultimate gardner, Who knows us better than we know ourselves. May His hands continue moulding you and may His love, peace and friendship continue sustaining you, in Jesus's name, amen "Don't let anyone look down on you before you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12 💜

Came to Christ not long after he was born (I was 23 and my husband was a Christian *running away from God*) but God Himself snatched me up without me ever searching for Him. Now we have 4 children (I have also suffered 3 miscarriages) I gave my womb to the Lord whenever I got saved. But I have been so refreshed by these videos, and by yalls podcast. Self care is so important. I used to feel so guilty for taking time for myself but then I would be such a cranky mom and I would end up taking it out on my family. Now I have learnt that self care is also family care. It doesn't take much to self care. Small but frequent is better than long and not often. Thank you for sharing this message. Too many moms don't feel like they are entitled to time out. The more we share the message - the happier we all will be

I completely agree with what you said about not rushing through life and letting your kids set the pace! My habit kind of ties into this. A regular breathwork practice has been game changing for me. I realized my nervous system was totally fried after weathering the almost daily tantrums. Once I started to heal through breathwork, I could hold space for my toddlers big emotions without getting swept up in them. My little girl needed to learn how to regulate her nervous system by watching me successfully do it first.

I love your heart! God will help you! He’s with you. I’ve had such a hard time adjusting to being a mom and my patience has been so thin in the past. It still can be. But I’m slowly seeing change in myself. Praise God! Just take one day at a time. Apologize a lot. Look them in the eyes. You’ve got this. Praying for you!!

Lol listening to “kids are so pure” as mine scream at each other over a baseball. They ARE a blessing and they are at times the most innocent little sinners 🤣🤣🤣 They are absolutely the biggest gift other than salvation. They are SUPREMELY forgiving, too. They can be trying to beat on each other and then hugging each other reading books together within 5 minutes. They are the most hilarious and fascinating things I’ve ever seen. ❤❤❤❤❤ P.S. I love that you read your Bible every day because a lot of people take the “motherhood” season off. It’s literally the lifeblood of being a good mom, tho!

I love that you have gotten into needlework. I also love cross stitching and sewing. I do both of those things around my kids. Get interrupted a lot, but it’s still fun for me.

I’m also 26 and my baby just turned 1. This video really spoke to me, especially tip #7, it made me tear up and realize that I really do need to slow down and enjoy every little moment. This was such a great video. Exactly what I needed at this time 💗

Thank you for this! I had our first baby 3 weeks ago and want to learn all I can. I am so surprised that we are the same age! I would have thought you were older because you are so mature 😊

Seeing this video makes me think of what my family did when I was a kid that are core memories. I mainly just remember we ate together every single day. Now that we’re older and my sister is out of the house, we really try our best to eat together Saturdays my sister comes over and she eats with us. I try to be intentional about, if I am eating with my family, not being on my phone. My dad is turning 80 in a few months and I am 21 there is probably 2 generations between us and my dads way of being entertained is by conversation, not through his phone and that’s something that I see and I am happy my dad and I are generations apart because I get to connect with him. That’s something I try my best to implement with my boyfriend as well. If we’re together eating I will not be on my phone. I will not answer my phone unless it’s emergent and I pray this intentionality stays, if God wills for us to marry one day because if we are mindful of it, I know we can be intentional with our kids too!
