In 4 years I will retire from this corporate world of dog eat dog. With God’s grace, I have managed to avoid the corruption, greed, selfishness and back stabbing in the corporate world. Recently I started praying to God to give me a sign on how to use the remaining of my life to serve Him and his church. Nothing yet; still waiting… 🤦♀️ In His time; I know it’ll come to me. 😘

Hi! im 16, been discerning for a while, always had so much anxiety about it, like A LOT. i wanted to back away from God cuz i was afraid of Him saying something i didnt want to hear😔, but i didnt listen to that and eventually started praying a lot more and going to adoration more and i feel so much peace about it now. I was so confused but God had already written it on my heart, i jst didnt trust Him enough at the time to see clearly. anyway i ADORE this video, its so joyful and peaceful also a lil funny lol. i hope i end up like you one day❤

I have been discerning the monastic life since 2018 now but effects of a thrombosis I had in 2004 makes it difficult for me to be accepted in a Monastery. I've been to Norcia, Italy and Silverstream, Ireland and in both monasteries my request was declined. I am still looking for a Benedictine Monastery.

Maybe once I heard god's voice at a highschool reunion several years ago. He was telling me for all he knows maybe I could become a psychiatrist some day too like that one guy there who was already one after wy back in high school getting voted as the least likely to succeed. Of course I need to be realistic. While not wanting to become a psychiatrist anyway.

The Bible is very clear in both Testaments that we have no business following our hearts, until they are reformed into a heart with the Lord and His will. Please stop saying that to people Chris, It's not true and can be highly detrimental! In Christ, Andrew
@Ezekiel336-162 жыл бұрын
@@Rich.- I didn't miss the point, and I'm not being quick to judge because he does the same thing in his book about Joy. Sure, he makes the correct or grounding comment after he highlights following our hearts, but he doesn't make sure to drive home the importance of forming our hearts and related lives after the Lord (first) when he does. That's a problem, especially when speaking to the young adult audience (and feel-gooders) that he caters to. Going through the cross is painful, and so is being persecuted for our faith, both of which are part of life with the Lord on this side of Heaven. So, if people are not properly educated and encouraged to be prepared for those realities as disciples, because they are focused on their hearts (and feelings), they can very easily be led astray, or remain astray, instead of coming to a saving faith with Jesus and the Holy Spirit as mature believers. In Christ, Andrew P.S. In telling me to not be so quick to judge, you did what you accused me of by judging me quickly. Worth reflecting on.
@Ezekiel336-162 жыл бұрын
@@Rich.- So, now you've added insult to your judgement (the same action your admonishing me for, which makes it hippocritical too). I'm sorry that my honesty is bringing out such behavior in you, so I will stop if you will. I don't want you to stumble further. Be at peace with the Lord. In Christ, Andrew
@Ezekiel336-162 жыл бұрын
@@Rich.- Saying I'm not at peace with the Lord is a judgement, it's one stating where I'm at or not at with Him. Also, if you go back and actually read what I wrote in my first comment then you will see I am talking about the righteousness (your word) that we are supposed to have with Christ by allowing Him to form and guide our hearts before we let our hearts lead us in anyway. That's not being self-rightous, that's explaining the righteousness that we should have thanks to Christ, not despite Him. Also, the Lord broke the chains of my self-imposed enslavement many years ago, and He did so by changing my mind and heart about my sins so that I would want to be obedient to Him and stop doing them (instead of just being sorry for doing them and not really being committed to repenting and removing them, and my desire for them, from my life). That is getting off the wide road to hELL and walking in the narrow path with Jesus joyfully. It requires a heart change, and not thinking that our sinful hearts are alright as long as we believe that Jesus will save us. He saved us so we will have the grace needed for that heart change and stop doing what we did before. It's not cheap grace without repentance (or the pain and suffering that comes along with it, both for ourselves and for others we try to encourage to do the same). Peace be with you
@Ezekiel336-162 жыл бұрын
@@Rich.- I did, His name is Jesus. And may that same great physician do a great work in your life to help you listen and hear with His heart before all else! In Christ, Andrew
