Great tutorial! Wish I had a video like this when I was heat molding my recall liners. I actually had to heat mold mine twice, because I was getting a little pain in my ankle. Turns out the first time I didn’t bake them long enough and the temperature was too low. Second time was perfect! Since I always skate with G form shinguards I put those on when I heat molded them the second time.

Old video so I understand if you don't get back to me. What were your decisions for swapping out the stock liners? I bought the USD Aeon 60s. Having measured my feet and comparing to their chart my feet fall in the upper end of USD Men's 11-12. Shoes I tend to wear 12-13. Space from heel to toe hasn't been an issue, but the boot squishes the top of my feet putting my toes asleep. I'm trying to figure out if I should go with a liner more specifically for Size 12 (one that's not accommodating Size 11 in any way), or should I heat mold the shell at the pressure points.. maybe both? Thanks for the video!

You want to tighten them just how you would when you go for a skate. I didn't lace the liners on these because the tongue is too wide and the laces don't work well.

Don't heat mold them it does the opposite of what you want. You want a fat full liner that fills the skate & clings to your whole foot with pressure. If you heat mold them your basically making them like memory foam you are compressing them so now they are permanently squashed flat around your foot so not putting pressure on your foot or the inside skate of the skate. Imagine if you heat molded your sofa to your ass, it wouldn't give you support.
@ThirtyandRollin
@ThirtyandRollin 2 жыл бұрын
Only compressed in the areas your foot needs it to be compressed. The rest is still puffy.

I just got my first pair of Faction skates which are heat moldable. Their instructions say to do it worh the linear in the boot/shell. Same temp but for 18-20 mins. I’m absolutely terrified that something will go wrong and I’ll ruin my skates. Have you ever moldable skates with the boot,strap, laces and linear all together for that time frame?
@ThirtyandRollin

Ya it's really not too hot. But if you are nervous just shave off a few min. You should be fine though.
