Hi Debra, it's not something we have tried. In theory you should be able to but depending on where the hole is, it might not look to good.

All heat sealers are slightly different, but this machine worked ok on setting 3 for the microfoils :)

How come you would need to heat seal a balloon? (Just wondering, found this very interesting). Would you also need to seal a bubble balloon? . Thank you!

Hi Karen, the small foil balloons don't have a valve fitted into them so they need to be heat sealed to keep the air in. Bubble balloons are normally sealed using a modelling balloon :)

I tried to inflate. But i pushed more air and foil balloon got punctured. It got an inch size hole. The seal which was sealed by manufacturer came out because of pressure. How to refix it. Else i need to buy full set again. It was alphabet letter foils for Happy Birthday text . Letter i got punctured. Tried to fix with cello tape but in vain. I don't have this hot electric fixer

You could try Balloon Bond? I'm not sure how else, without a heat selaer you would be able to mend the balloon I'm afraid!

Hi Dina, a heat-sealer works by applying a the right amount of heat and then turning off suddenly. This seals the balloon together but allows you to keep the pressure on until the seal cools down, giving you a stronger seal. You could possibly use hair straighteners but you may have trouble either burning straight through the balloon with too much heat or not being able to keep the pressure on long enough for the seal to cool down. This may lead to the balloon leaking gas so we would recommend a heat-sealer.
