Grew up around an upholstery shop. Never knew about the numbers for thread sizes! Learned something! Yes, I grew up around a shop, I know how to run a sewing machine, and I have the one my dad used. However I haven't done much precision sewing. I want to sew the seats in my late father's 1958 Plymouth Suburban. Car in my profile picture. Need some practice. Great video. I tried your tip from a previous video about not back stitching on a French stitch. It worked great and definitely does look much better. I only wish I would have seen this video before I finished mine. I never gave it a thought to use a thicker thread to give the stitch more definition. I used regular thread and it looks nice, but doesn't really stand out...but that's ok. Thank you for sharing another great tip with us.
