Hi there Bethany 😊, please note that this treatment should always work if your baby is indeed constipated. So if it does not work, then it can be because of the following reasons: 1. Your baby is NOT constipated. Please note that such young babies can often go days or even a week or longer without pooping although they are not constipated. This can particularly often happen in exclusively breastfed babies. In other words: just because a newborn does not poop for days, is not necessarily a reason that baby is constipated. 2. There are medical reasons why your baby is not pooping: in very rare cases, there can be more severe underlying conditions why a baby is not pooping. Therefore, the first step should be to see a pediatrician! Let them confirm that your baby is indeed constipated (they can do that by palpating your baby's belly) and that there are no medical reasons why your baby is not pooping. I have tried the clock wise massage on its own before and never worked for 💩. However, this massage plus the acupuncture ones you mentioned worked amazingly. Hi there 🙂 First of all: CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LITTLE ONE!!! We hope the whole family is okay and that you manage to get some sleep these days! Regarding your question: So, in general, breastfed newborns usually have 3-6 bowel movements or more per day. With that said, though uncommon, newborns may not have a bowel movements for days and can still be totally fine. And it does not mean that they are constipated - they just don't pass any stools. In rare cases, not passing any stools can be a sign that the baby is not feeding enough. In that case, the baby is not constipated and massaging the baby won't help. In that case, the number of feeds should be increased (which is something you might wanna try). Nevertheless, we always recommend a checkup with a doctor when the baby does not pass stools for several days. In 99,9% of all cases, your baby will be totally fine. However, it's good to exclude other important reasons why your baby does not pass stools. If your baby is indeed constipated, then in our experience, a combination of a warm bath and the massage that we teach in this video works best for newborns. Please keep in mind that you need to repeat the massage regularly, particularly the circular movements on the belly, in order for it to be effective. And again, try to increase the number of feeds! If your baby is indeed constipated, hydration can help as well. But please, don't give your baby water to drink (it can cause water intoxication!). Your baby needs breastfeeds or bottle feeds ;-) We really hope this helps you and that your baby is able to pass stools very soon! All the best! 💕💕

Hi there! ❤️ Poor baby! ❤️ Here is what we recommend doing: First of all, take your baby to your doctor! Make sure that there are no underlying medical problems why your baby does not poop. Second, let the doctor confirm that your baby is indeed constipated. The problem with such young babies is that they can go days without pooping although they are not constipated. It very often happens in babies who are exclusively breastfed. But as long as your baby gains weight, your baby should be fine. But again, let your doctor confirm that! If your baby is indeed constipated and if there are no medical problems which require treatment, then the baby massage treatment that we show in this video normally works. However, you might have to increase the duration of the circular movements (f.e. to 30 seconds). Moreover, make sure that you really apply ALL steps of the treatment, not just the circular movements. Plus, you almost certainly have to repeat the treatment several times throughout the day... If your baby IS constipated and the massage treatment does not help, please write us again and tell us a bit more about your baby: such as, main source of nutrition; if formula, which one; how often you feed your baby per day; and also what are other symptoms that you observe (like straining, grunting, fussiness etc.).
