Definitely giving which toys do you want to keep a try. Our TV is always on, although I'd say 60% of the time it on something educational. We do need to reduce screen time.

Then you don't have this problem at home and you don't need to focus on this.

You don’t have the “why”.. the why we are focusing is because we have this going on at home and our “why” is we are determined for a solution .. and so we focused on the video :)

question everything when they ask “why”. I usually answer, whatever task that we are given in life, we should give us our 100%. No matter how small or how big. If you are helping your grandma you give it your all, when you get a job or volunteer, you will give it you 100% so when you are school, you have to try to be the best that you can be. Because school gives you a chance to learn how to complete tasks and it will help you with whatever you will choose to do in life; even if you choose to be tiktok famous!

What would be a young child’s “why” for staying on task and doing homework in school?

It would depend on the child, Jessica. Hopefully they can develop satisfaction from a job well done.

Question please, if kids have approximately a minute of focus per year of life then how does that translate to 40minute long lessons for 6 hours of the day starting at age 5? Also if loved your example with the toys, do you have any examples for a greater WHY for homework, for younger kids please? Many thanks 😀
@LiveOnPurposeTV6 жыл бұрын
Janet Spiteri, hopefully the teachers change things up often during lessons. Part can be listening, part doing, part evaluating, part talking to their seatmates, etc. There are many ways to change things up and teachers understand the value of brain breaks. Homework should be more of a reinforcer for children when young and limited.
