Question please, if kids have approximately a minute of focus per year of life then how does that translate to 40minute long lessons for 6 hours of the day starting at age 5? Janet Spiteri, hopefully the teachers change things up often during lessons. Part can be listening, part doing, part evaluating, part talking to their seatmates, etc. There are many ways to change things up and teachers understand the value of brain breaks. Homework should be more of a reinforcer for children when young and limited.
