Aw. I've never seen anything like that as a city slicker. You saved that beautiful Lil chick! It's going to be the best of the bunch! God's anointing on him! 😊❤

What a great video, this is such a good thing to know! How long should I leave the chicks in the incubator after they hatch before putting them in the heated brooder?

Hi i have been raisin chickens for over 50 years now i use an old 60's fridge as an incubator i have found when you feed your chickens alot of calcium supplements like crushed egg shells or crushed sea shells the eggs have a vert thick shell and the chicks have a hard time pecking there way out you should help them as fast as you can thanks for the Video may you always walk in the light

i dont want to write for 10mins about this, but helping them get out is bad. its by going out on its own and struggling with death that triggers alot of physiological change in the baby chicken. studies were made and found that chicken that were aided in coming out of the egg are generally smaller and weaker than normal.

I did explained that inactivity in the video. That we don’t help unless we have too. But sometimes you do have too. This chick would have without question, died. He was leathered in. He is now almost 3 months old and doing great. And is no smaller than his peers. As with all animals, some births just require assistance so the baby doesn’t die and knowing how is wise for anyone who plans to hatch chicks.

@@SurvivalHTyou are such a wonderful person, smart young lady and you did a wonderful job saving this baby chick…you waited for it to do it it’s self and when it couldn’t, you did it a very safe and effective way which also took a long time giving the chick time to rest and help get himself get out with the struggle needed even though he’s weak, bravo!!! Just because there’s been studies, doesn’t mean they were correct, there’s 1,000’s of studies done throughout history that they are finding now are incorrect.
