Our relationship can be high conflict at times, whats more pervasive is emotional neglect coming from my husband towards me. I ask for more warm and gentle communication and he tells me that would be like coddling a chipd if he were to do that

The parent who had a divorce forced on them, for whatever reason, has a right to walk away from the children for good.

A parent that thinks only of their rights instead of the love, care and commitment their children need from both parents needs to get their priorities straight and learn to be less self centered.

@@cstarfree No they do not. I mean legally maybe but morally, NO! Kids need both parents. Even if one parent is mediocre it's still better for the child to have them around. It's very selfish to abandon your kids based on something they had zero control over
