I really enjoy watching your videos! I learned to sew in JH in the 60’s and sewed my wedding dress and all my dresses and nightgowns for years. I wish I would have seen this video back then as I always wanted to hem jeans because I’m short. Instead I wore higher heels. I don’t sew much anymore. But I SO enjoy watching his it U.S. done by a professional! Thank you!!

You could keep your original hem without cutting it off and starting anew....... mark to where it had to be folded and pressed for a "new hem" but actually pin your old original hem to the new hemline, sew along the edge of the original hem and that's it. They have tutorials on it here on KZbin

Hello, D9P323, Thank. you for this. I am aware of this method but really like less bulk. This is the reason I do a normal double turn hem. I appreciate your comment and many will benefit from it. Happy Sewing!

Hello, Frankjanvari, So glad you liked the video. What do you mean by "keep the original hem"? I do not understand.

Hello, Frankjanvari! I know about using the original hem. I just prefer this method. It is clean and with less bulk from the seam allowance inside. It's good there are more methods than one! Thank you for taking time to comment! Have a great day!
